I finished my first dusty for the month...Blueberry Muffin Murder by Joanne Fluke Blueberry Muffin Murder (Hannah Swensen, #3) by Joanne Fluke 11/2/15. This is turning ot to be a really fun series

I finished my 2nd dusty...
Every Crooked Nanny by Kathy Hogan Trocheck 11/5/15. This is one of my favorite authors, although I have always read her Mary Kay Andrews books. I really enjoyed this cozy and will be moving on with the series.

message 158: by Brittany (new)

Brittany (wulfgirl) I finished Every Day (Every Day, #1) by David Levithan tonight. Still trying to figure out if I liked it or not. LOL I thought it was an interesting concept, but the main character really annoyed the crap outta me. Too stalker-ish. Not sure if I will read the next book or not.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 565 comments I've started Dead Innocent by T.J. Bleakley , but had to put it off for a few days as I'm really not getting it at all. So far, it's barely a 1 star for me, and if when I go back it isn't much better, this will be a DNF. Just can't seem to get into it.

I finished both Psych Ward Zombies by James Novus & Love Beyond Time (Morna's Legacy #1) by Bethany Claire . Psych Ward Zombies had me laughing quite a bit despite the fact that they were dealing with zombies! Love Beyond Time was a wonderful time traveling romance. Thanks for picking them, Cait!!

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments Finished Time to Run (SEAL Team 12, #3) by Marliss Melton and I liked it. It was very different from the first two probably because the main hero wasn't with the rest of the Seal Team most of the book.

This is definitely a DNF for me. Sorry, I judt couldn't get into it. Not even sure why I got it originally, except that it was probably free... One Star, maybe.

message 163: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t Finished both reads:

Forbidden Embers (Dragon's Heat, #3) by Tessa Adams 11/6 - 4stars
&
Close Liaisons (The Krinar Chronicles #1) by Anna Zaires 11/9 - 2.75stars

message 164: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip Logan :D

Finished my first pick Lightning Rod (Broken Mirrors, #2) by Vaughn R. Demont , I really loved book one, so I had high hopes for this one! Didn't live up to my hype but still enjoyable, just a little all over the place :)

message 165: by Brittany (new)

Brittany (wulfgirl) Finished my second pick, Blaze a couple of days ago and I forgot to update. This book was great! This series had fallen by the wayside for me even though I was enjoying it. I was really glad to get back into it, and I even purchased book 4 so I can find out how everything end. Thanks for the picks, Stephanie. :)

Debbie: I enjoyed Fair Game (All's Fair, #1) by Josh Lanyon much to my surprise. I have removed Josh Lanyon from my Don't Read List thanks to this audiobook!
I am currently listening to my other pick from you Targeted (Deadly Ops, #1) by Katie Reus

Holli: I have listened to Defiant (MacKinnon's Rangers, #3) by Pamela Clare and didnt enjoy it that much. Too much historical fiction and not enough romance. But I suspect that I will enjoy Marked by Midnight (Midnight Breed #11.5) by Lara Adrian much more. So I will tackle that one after Targeted. Plus, it's a Meet-n-Greet book that I have to get in this Nov.

Thanks for the picks!!

Vampamber

I have finished Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, #1) by Faith Hunter - loved it - thanks so much for the pick!! I really enjoyed the beginning of this new to me series and author. I'm looking forward to getting to book #2 soon. I want to read more of Jane's world!

Woo Hoo.

Now, I should probably start my Nov FWYS books

message 169: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Finished my 2nd pick Crank
It was surprisingly good and I really enjoyed it, I'll definitely be looking at the others in the series.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 565 comments I finished my second DB gook for November, and loved it as much as I hated the first pick. Dead Innocent by T.J. Bleakley was a definite miss - DNF and could only give what I did read a single star, while Stars Collide (Backstage Pass, #1) by Janice Thompson was an excellent cozy romance and well worth 5 stars!!!

message 171: by Marty (new)

Marty (martymill) | 1300 comments I finished Her A Memoir by Christa Parravani last night. It's beautifully written. It's also heartbreakingly honest about her sister's rape, addiction and death, as well as her own mental breakdown afterwards. I gave it five stars.

message 172: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip Sounds like a hard read Marty, glad the author seemed to handle it all well.

message 173: by BarbaraAnn (new)

BarbaraAnn | 327 comments I finished the first one of my picks. Thanks Marty!

Casting Spells was a book a purchased quite awhile ago, but kept looking over. It was very light and a lot of fun.

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments COMPLETION POST
Picked by V Audio Nerd

Landline by Rainbow Rowell
My Rating: ★★★★☆
Date Finished: 11/01
Final Thoughts: Very enjoyable. It helped that the narrator of the audiobook was Rebecca Lowman. She is one of my favorite female narrators. I love her "guy" voice. I don't know why but it just works for me. This could have easily been a 5 star book if there was a little more to the ending. Not everything was wrapped up so you were left hanging on a few things. But I've noticed that is quite common with Rainbow Rowell. Her books are amazing but the ending kind of falls flat. Epilogues would help that out a lot.

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins
My Rating: ★★★★★
Date Finished: 11/20
Final Thoughts: I have no idea why it has taken me so long to read this trilogy. It is so freaking fantastic. I am so happy I decided not to watch the movies because I've always wanted to read the books first and didn't want to spoil anything by watching the movies first.

Eleanor & Park is a perfect example of what I was talking about. Amazing book with a crappy ending. But despite the ending I still loved it. In fact I've loved everything I've read by Rowell so far.

❤Stephanie ღ♥ღMrs Daryl Dixonღ♥ღ | 482 comments I finished my picks Touching Tate (Wayne County Wolves #11) by Stephani Hecht Driving Borscht Batty (Wolves of Stone Ridge Book #29) by Charlie Richards both were really good, plus I finished all 4 of the other books that didn't get picked.

message 179: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 489 comments ~Melissa~ I'm so so sorry, I haven't forgotten to pick up and read Spell Checked (Logic, #1) by C.G. Powell at all, in fact I'm starting it tonight, this November's been crazy, from our new family computer having to be sent off to get fix because someone used my Mom's goggle email to hack it and they deleted all of the microsoft programs as well as Windows, to my Mom falling in our kitchen , me having migraine headaches, and my sister getting a Second Degree Burn on her left arm at work and now its feels like I'm trying to catch a cold or the flu bug going around ,like I said its been crazy, so I'm a little bite behind in reading, getting caught up with this one and 6 more to go.

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments I Finished my picks of Time to Run (SEAL Team 12, #3) by Marliss Melton Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews . Time to Run was good I'm still enjoying that series and Magic Burns was great - I can't believe I waited so long to read this series.

I finished Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer last week. Loved it! I don't think I'll be able to finished Landline by Rainbow Rowell by the end of the month but I hope to finish that soon. :)

message 187: by VampAmber (new)

VampAmber | 622 comments For once, I don't think I'll be finishing either of my selections. I just couldn't seem to get into At the End (The Road to Extinction, #1) by John Hennessy , to the point that it might end up being a DNF and deleted from my Nook permanently (it's not very good), and as much as I love Austen, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen is just a bit too dry for me at the moment (I think I have to be in exactly the right mood to read her books). I have two pretty easy reads for next month, at least. ^_^
