Thanks, Kay! Both of those have been sitting on my shelves long enough to be very dusty indeed, so I'll be looking forward to finally reading them. :)

Holli, don't forget to pick for Ezi!

Ezi, I pick for you:

Not a problem, Holli!
Military romance is a go to read for me sometimes, Holli, so I'm going to take the liberty of suggesting a few for you, if you don't mind too much!
Laura Kaye's Hard Ink is pretty good, but it takes a while to grow on you. Some folks like Julie Ann Walker's Black Knights, Inc series, but I really didn't and she's gone into a spin off series called Deep Six using Navy SEALs. Another series that people swear by but I couldn't get into was Maya Banks' KGI series. Pamela Clare's I-Team also has some military guys in it, and that series was a blast to read! Also, Katy Regnery's The Vixen and the Vet was a 5 star read for me!
I know Ezi and I are doing a couple of Buddy Reads this month for military romances: Midnight Rescue and Targeted, so you could always read those with us or lurk around the thread to see what we think of it before trying it for yourself.
I'm pretty sure I've read more than that, but that is everything coming to mind for right now. I hope it helps!

If you want to try something military that isn't romance, Brad Taylor's Pike Logan series is good. I've read the first two novels and a novella from it and plan to continue on with it. These are military thrillers and Brad, who is former Delta Force, incorporates a lot of that persona into his character and makes Pike seem that much more real.
One Rough Man is the first book and grabbed my attention in the store as the cover was interesting. The blurb sealed it for me.
Another is Tom Clancy Presents: Act of Valor by Dick Couch and George Galdorisi, which was made into a movie with real SEALs in it. The book, movie, and song Keith Urban did for the movie always prove quite moving for me. I've read this one four times and my poor paperback looks like it's been through the mill. :) Both authors are former Navy (Dick being a former SEAL himself) and the movie follows the book extremely well. This one is also a thriller, which seems to be my go to genre apparently. I originally got the movie as I had just started really getting into military nonfiction and the statement on the movie cover stating it had real active duty SEALs in it sold me on it. I think I grabbed it before the statement completely registered actually.
This post turned out longer than I meant it be. Anyhoo, thanks for the book recommendations. I will be sure to check them out.

I thought the Vixen and the Vet was underwhelming just like Julie Ann Walkers Black Knights.
I do enjoy the I-team and KGI. I'm working on the Laura Kaye series. I'm on book 2. I haven't decided how I feel yet.

I tried Hell on Wheels and was disappointed that the first couple of chapters suggests this is going to be a book that one conversation would fix things between the characters. I read a story like this. At least one. I spent the whole of it wanting to strangle the characters because they were too stubborn to talk, at least until they were about to die. Gave me eye twitches. HoW is still on my TBR list and I'm debating trying again. If I can get the audiobook, I might.

I just got book 3 in my DB challenge this month! We should discuss!

Unfortunately, you have to make a separate post with your pick, not add it to your original comment. No one saw that you had changed your original comment and Ezi had to have repicks done. In the future, please make sure you make a separate post for your partner so they know what you picked for them!

Yup! You, me, Krissy, and Sunshine007 are down for it. I think this one just is a different cover of it.

I've read Josh Lanyon before and really disliked the book. I am giving her one more chance before I put her on my "Umm, No Thanks" List.
Katie Reus is on my middle enjoyment list. She has potential but deliver isn't quite there for me. I am hoping this series will find her meeting that level
