Talia seemed to have mixed feelings towards Jack. How would you characterize her behavior towards him? Fair or unfair?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think her feelings about herself reflected in her idea that Jack would think her too damaged to care for in a good way, other than being protective toward her.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
I agree with that, Charlene. I think she also had a lot of guilt about her role in everything. But I just thought her behavior towards Jack was just wrong. He was truly concerned for her and she just wouldn't give him the tiniest benefit of the doubt. There was nothing in what he did to suggest he expected sexual favors in return.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Yes, you're right about that. He nearly let her go, didn't he?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Yes, he did and I must say, I was rooting for him to walk away.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Yeah, she was running very hot and cold. In fact, I found it very difficult to identify with her as a character and this put a damper on the romance and the book as a whole for me.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Maybe that was more my problem, too. I never really connected with her on any level...couldn't figure out how she'd react from one scene to the next.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments We three agree on this question.
