Started reading this yesterday and don't want to put it down. So beautifully written. "Reading a good book" should be a legitimate excuse for missing work!

I started this a week ago, but read about 10% and haven't picked it up again yet. I haven't really been reading anything as I've been super busy with work, but maybe this one just doesn't have the pull for me. I'll try again tomorrow and see how far I get.
I found this one just didn't quite live up to the incredibly high bar of both The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns

I entirely agree.
I entirely agree.
I tend to agree. The first two were for me so incredible that Echoed didn't quite reach that plane. I still think it an extraordinary work: amazing insight into human nature and I was completely absorbed in the story. It just didn't, again, for me, have quite the payoff in the denouement that his first two did.
