Vernice - for the red lipstick task, could you include someone wearing red lipstick on the cover?
Vernice wrote: "Sure! That seems a fair indication that someone wears red lipstick."
Yup, thanks :)

I asked my daughters for ideas for this task. They didn't quite get the concept, but when I got home, the youngest one handed me a poem to use that she had written and typed herself. (I'm going to have to read Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation with her based on her liberal misuse of apostrophes!).

It is getting better slowly. I'm lucky that I never had any pain, it was just a bit uncomfortable for a while. I'm allowed to gradually start training again. started with swimming and now swim, cycle and walk on alternate days. Restrictions on each but I can reduce those gradually as it gets used to it. I'm told by someone who has had 4 of these that it will be 5 months before it feels normal. One month down, and looking at starting fencing specific physio in 2 weeks.
Glad to hear the pain wasn't too bad. These things take time. My husband had surgery in both elbows this year and have been told that it can take up to 18 months for full recovery. Hope you can start fencing again soon.

25 tasks that have to do with colours. E.g. Colour used on the cover (read a book with a yellow title on the cover/mostly green cover), in the title (read a book with the word "blue" in the title), in the book (read a book wear a character is described as wearing a red dress/has blonde hair) etc.
Everyone may nominate 2 challenges from now until Sunday. Then I will open the nominations again until we have 25 tasks.
Please stick to these general rules:
- Tasks may not be set for graphic novels or books that are less than 150 pages long.
- Don't nominate tasks that are unfairly restrictive, e.g. forcing participants to acquire expensive or obscure books, or find books set in their home town (it's easy for some, impossible for others).
- Since this challenge is not genre-specific, don't limit your tasks to any one genre.
Enjoy!
