Hello there! I am in search of any books you can think of where a mortal ventures to the netherworld/land of the dead/etcetera. Something like Beetlejuice (the cartoon). Is there anything out there like that, or am i searching for something that has yet to be written? I really do not mind if it is teen or adult or romance or adventure or dark. I just have a book craving :). Thank you in advance!

The Percy Jackson series and Hero of Olympus spin off series do venture there but only in spots. They mostly take place above ground. ;) The Servants of Fate series by Sarah Fine I think has what you might be looking for. I would maybe check those out.
Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones series has an occasional venture into Hades/Hell/Purgatory, although like the Percy Jackson/Hero of Olympus series, it's very occasional, with most of the action taking place "above ground" as it were.
While I haven't read Leanna Renee Hieber's Strangely Beautiful series, I believe that it is a modern retelling of the Persephone and Hades tell. The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Percy Parker is book 1. Again, I haven't read any of the books in this series, but from reading the blurbs about them, that is the impression that I get.
I know that there are a few other books where characters make trips "down below" (I think there are even a few set in the realm of Hel, the Norse goddess of the Underworld.) But not feeling good tonight, and getting ready for a trip, so I am not up to checking for them, sorry.
