Just some questions:
1. Age range for orphans?
2. Is it just the manor and the orphans that are cursed, or is the whole island/place?
3. How could a wanderer accidentally become trapped in the manor?
4. What sort of things go wrong with the wishes?
Thanks :)
1. None. Mostly teenagers, I suppose? But any age truthfully.2. Just the manor and orphans.
3. If you step foot onto the grounds, you are cursed and cannot leave. Seriously, you will hit a barrier and just stumble backwards, maybe with a bloody nose. So a wanderer could show up and end up stuck there.
4. Say you wished you were more popular at the orphanage; boom, suddenly you're surrounded by people who never leave you alone. Or say you wished you could leave, suddenly you go insane with the passion of leaving, and most likely would end up killing yourself by smacking the barrier too hard.
Do you have to use pictures with your character's biography?(And just to clarify, the rules do actually say that you have the choice of whether to use your template or another one, right?)
No, but you don't have to use pictures, but something of the character's appearance. And yes, you may choose your own template.
When making a character, does it matter what nationality they are? Also, can we make them from scratch or does it have to be based off of something else? ((Sorry if that doesn't make sense)) :)
Thanks for taking the questions to us!No, it does not matter what nationality they are, all and any are welcome. Just so you are aware, the orphanage has no definitive location, so it is easier to just say that they lived on the island or another island nearby. You can say that they read about the Ivorymark and then flew to it, though.
You can do either, though if we see a character clearly based off of a famous book character or movie character we probably won't approve it.
Have fun!
I'M NOT REALLY SURE. You know what, I'm deleting that claim. It was stupid. I think it was supposed to be like all the other characters had intentionally come to the Ivorymark... NO IDEA THOUGH.
Audra wrote: "Okie doke, so I don't have to claim her"I understand this question now! Essentially, a wanderer doesn't have to have dead parents, and might not be sent to the orphanage because they were orphans. The orphans actually were sent to the orphanage because of their dead parents and no one else to take them in.
I don't think it says? It's really old, but when the headmistress got here she opened it up to children.
...Wow! I'm not really sure? Maybe your powers would be either so feeble you barely got to do anything, or maybe you would be so overloaded with powers that you burnout all the time and are super dangerous? (I wouldn't be able to approve the second character, because that would be unfair to others.) It's possible that your magic would limit you to something, or that the magic would take something from you. As in, you wish you could control color, and then you cannot see.
