on the goodreads series list Just my rotten Luck is listed as #8 but on the book cover the title is listed as #7. I Think this title: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/p/j... may be 5.5 not #6. It is significantly shorter and not readily available for purchase.

It is an interesting one, because I do not see any covers that state a book number, if you can provide a link to one of them, or the ISBN/ASIN of one with the cover containing the number that would be helpful.The description says 7th, but if you look at the Author's website it shows as 8th, and Amazon shows the book you pointed at as number 5 along with another book.

I saw that too, just the author never really says. Like I said if you look at his page it is the 8th one listed, and there are 2 different books on Amazon listed as book 5. That is why I was asking for the cover that states book 7, since I did not see any covers listing the number in the series.
The number is on the spine, I found the discrepancy while cataloging the title into my public library's collection. The isbn of #7 Just my rotten luck: 9780316284776. I'd be happy to email a picture. And if you look at his site: http://www.jamespatterson.com/books_m...
Notice that "How I got lost in London" is not listed.

Think I got it straightened out. From a number of things, it looked like "Save Rafi!" should have been #6 and "Ultimate Showdown" #5, but there are some places I see it reversed. Amazon even shows different editions of each one as the other number.Since his site showed Ultimate first I put it that way in the series order.
