"Very well. I shall see you in the morning." I close the door, and strip down to my boxers and vest, and get into bed.

"Yes," she said and left. She went back to her room and changed into her night attire. Before long she was in her bed and asleep.
I close my eyes, and the darkness consumes me.
Laz is awoken by her servants knocking on her door. She let them in and they drew her bath while Laz picked out a dress for the day. She got in the bath and welcomed it's warmth.
I am awoken by the blinding light bursting the through the curtains. I awaken, yawning, and slide on the shirt and trousers on my bedside table.
Laz got dressed and ready for the day. Soon she was heading to have breakfast and then to the armories. She didn't know if Charles would be attending with her but she was going to let him make that choice.
I decide to skip on breakfast today. I might need energy for the battle, but I'll do that if I have time after visiting the armoury.
Laz finished with her breakfast and walked to the armory. There she saw Charles, "getting an early start this morning I see," she said.
"It always worked to attack before anyone else is up. Gives a distinct advantage in battle."
"I see," she said. "Well, I'm sure everyone here will be grateful to fight along side you," she said with a smile.
"I will admit, at first they weren't. Bit I told them about some of what you said and they believe you." She said looking at him.
She tilted her head, "have you talked with anyone that doesn't?" She asked.
"no point. talking never was a strength for me."
"no point. talking never was a strength for me."
"What did they say to you. Charles you're my second in command now, you will be respected." She said walking closer to him.
"but what is a commander without enemies in his army?"
She smiled, "you have one. I figured that out this morning," she said. "But I need to know who it is that you talked to," she said again.
"This is important to me, please," she said.
"why would my well being concern you?"
"Why wouldn't it? I'm the one responsible for your changing. And on top of that you are supposed to be one of my closest allies," she said and straightened.
Laz shook her head, "at least tell me this, was it someone from the party last night?" She asked quietly. She thought she had a pretty good idea who it was but didn't want to jump to conclusions.
"After the party?" She asked she said and walked closer to him.
"Charles, who was it. I will not tolerate this," she said.
"and i can fight my own battles."
"This is not the battle you need to fight." She said sternly. "You may not see it, but if I have one person talking about you it can start something bigger and I will not let that happen."
"and i can fight entire wars by myself. your point being?"
"My point is, this is not just about you. You can brood around all you want. But if there is someone going against what I say I need to know about it," she said.
"and as i said, i can fight my own battles, whether they be mental, or physical." i turn, and continue to the armoury.
"Do not walk away from me. I am the leader of these people, I do not need you going against me. We need to work together to keep them safe, from inside and out," she said walking toward him.
"i am not going against you, but i don't need you to look out for me."
"For the love of God, you are not my target in who I'm trying to look after. I know you can handle yourself, I'm not questioning that." She said.
i turn so fast that i nearly teleport, and i am pressed up against her. "do not mention the name of that fool!" i hiss, angry and mad.
Laz was shocked but didn't step back. She looked at him for a second, "very well," she said.
i turn, and continue on my path. "i have nothing left to say to you."
"You are acting like a child, just tell me who it was so I can go on my way. You may not like me but as I said I will not tolerate this," she said and walked behind him again.
"follow me all you want, you won't be able to get it out of me."
Laz gritted her teeth, "what is wrong with you? I just need one name, are you really that rebellious?" She asked and touched his arm.
She shook her head. "Why? What's the point?" She asked.
"What's the point of pestering me?"
"I'm trying to figure you out. Why did you welcome the change in the first place?"
"Because change can't be stopped."
"So if I could have you would have stopped it?"
"It was going to happen sooner or later anyway. I was held in a demon fortress, it's pretty much inevitable."
