She kissed him back, her kisses growing deeper as she did. After a moment she broke apart from him and stood up, "well looks like you need your own quarters now." She said with a smile. She walked over to the door and knocked, once her guard came in she took the keys from him. "I will escort him to his new quarters, go and ask your captain for a new post," she said and took the chains from his wrist.

Laz looked at him and nodded slightly. "Follow me" she said and turned to the door.
Laz walks to the chambers near hers. That way she can keep an eye on him, or at least that's what she's telling herself. "Once I can properly assess your skills, then I will be able to put you in the right place," she said and looked back at him for a moment.

"Not at all," she said with a soft smile. "But everyone here has something that they thrive at. And while I don't have any doubts in you, I want to know where you thrive," she said as they can to his chambers. "Mine are across the corridor if you need me just knock," she said and opened his door.

Laz had one of her servants draw her a bath. When she had gotten in, she remembered the dinner in which they would have in celebration of their newest member of the family. She asked her servant to fetch the fallen angel and bring him in. She waited patiently for him.

When Laz heard him knock she yelled for him to come in. She dismissed the rest of her servants and told them to direct him to where she was.

"Yes, it slipped my mind to tell you earlier that there will be a dinner tonight in celebration of your transformation." She looked at him. "What's your name?" She asked.

"Well Charles I'm Lazeal, the dinner will start later this evening. You don't have to come but you should. It would be good if people know who you were, they think angel and they think death. If they see you are like them it will put their minds at ease." She said calmly.

Laz finished and got dressed for that evening. Instead of black her dress was a dark blue that made her skin look like snow. She let her long hair down so it fell down to her lower back. Once she was done putting the slightest of makeup on, she stood and walked to the large party room that was going to hold her attendants.

Laz saw Charles enter and she smiled, "well, I see you have figured out how to change back." She said looking at his suit. "That wasn't what you were supposed to be wearing but it will do for tonight's purposes. You will sit here," she said pointing to a seat closer to hers. She needed to be able to keep a close eye on him and who he was sitting next to. Because he's in his human form, they will recognize him almost immediately.

"It will do," she said and turned to one of her servants. She whispered something to him and he left. A few minutes later, trays and trays of food start being brought out and laid on tables.

Laz nibbles on her food as she watches everyone. She will occasionally give someone a warm smile and a wave. Other times she will have to give someone a scolding look for making remarks about Charles. After a while of eating and the wine was served Laz stood up in front of everyone, they all quieted so she could speak. "Thank you all for joining me in celebrating our newest addition to the family, Charles. Most of you know of his last and those who don't will soon find out. And while, he was captured in battle, he knew what he wanted when he was presented it and he took it. If any of you have a problem with his being here then you can take that up with me later. Please, drink, laugh, and enjoy this fine night." She said and smiled. She lifted her drink and took a sip as everyone followed. She sat down in her chair and re roar of talking and laughter rose again as if on cue.

"i was just going to say congratulations on making the right choice."
Laz saw the short conversation Charles had with Navaar and smiled. She took another sip of her wine and watched as her people laughed.

Laz finished some of her conversations with the lower families and went back to her room. Before she got to the door, she turned and walked to Charles's room. She knocked on the door and waited for him to answer.
Laz opened the door and walked in. She stopped at the doorway and smiled softly. "Well, most of them like you. They admire your choice, the very few who don't like you don't think you made your choice on your own." She said.

Laz smiled and walked further into his room. "That's not all I came to talk to you about, you know the angels inside and out. I want you to be my second in command," she said looking at him.
"They are loyal and fight with everything they have but they don't have the knowledge that you possess. If I'm going to keep my people safe then I must do everything in my power to keep the Angels away, and I know you can aid me in that," she said taking a step closer.
Laz shook her head, "if you accept then its permanent. I promised you things and I plan to deliver." She said.
Laz smiled, "good, now you will need new attire. I refuse to see that suit again." She said referring to the green one he had on earlier. She called one of her servants in and had her bring new ones for him to wear. "I can see you have decorated, now as much as I do want to see some of the Angels dead, do you have to put their heads on hooks?" She asked exasperated. "Being second in command you get a bigger room, but that means you would have to take all of it down if you want to move," she said looking at the metal hooks.
Laz gave him a questioning look but didn't ask. "Very well, if you would like to move I can have your new clothes sent there instead." She said and walked over to the hooks. She touched one, how many of her friends had been put on these she wondered.
Laz plastered a smile on her face and turned around, "well, that's good," she said.
"I'm not concerned, they just brought back some memories is all," she said looking back at the hooks.
"Some, others being the laughs we had together." She said not looking at him. "When you killed them, it was what you were taught to do. You had it in your blood."

"Well that's to be expected, what matters to me now is that you've changed." She said and looked at him.
"Of course, I'll retire to me chambers," she said and started walking to his door.
