What made you laugh? What, if anything, made you cry? Which scene was most memorable for you - or if you haven't finished yet - what's the first scene that made you smile?

Linda (lindamanthey) | 413 comments The scence with Cicero in the Yoga class made me laugh.

The last two answers are one in the same.

When the Children were leaving to go back to Texas made me cry and when they return a short time later to return the puppy, I lost it. The back story as to why the puppy was significant, and Cicero accepting it one of my favorite scenes.

Hope everyone is doing well. Linda Manthey

Oh, Linda I loved that yoga class scene! Bless him in his search for inner peace and inspiration. I'm still thinking about my very favorite scenes - there were so many. (I will say that I loved the hot tub scene...no surprise there.)

Melinda M (researcher707) | 592 comments My biggest surprise scene is when Cicero's sculpture for the contest was broken and the way he dealt with it.

The children and the first trip to Eternity Springs with Cicero and Rose in the car. I had a picture of Cicero in the car with them almost going crazy.
I agree with the Linda about the puppy .

Honestly, Melinda - My gut twisted when that sculpture broke. He'd been through so much. But he had found his center - and that made the incident really special. Bonus for him coming up with something even more powerful after the accident!

Hannah (hannahdabink) | 55 comments The end where she gives him the dog, I bawled! both times I read it

Lola | 1001 comments I finished Teardrop last night, I loved how Cicero handled the kids getting sick and breaking his sculpture. Not losing it showed how much he loved the kids. I am always a softie with puppies !

Jina Gibbs | 763 comments Oh Lord I just read the puppy part and I am a blubbering mess again today! Geeesh. Could these kids be more precious I ask ya???
Weepy in NC,
Jina

I agree with you ladies - Cicero turned into one of my all-time favorite characters from the moment they got in the hot-tub ... but his love for the children, and his reaction to the dog gets me EVERY time. *sigh*

Melinda M (researcher707) | 592 comments I agree ladies. Cicero was great with the sick kids and the broken sculpture. It says a lot about character. I do not know about all of you but in every book I have found something that makes me rethink how I am reacting to things.

I agree with you, Melinda. I love books that change the way I view the world, don't you? I've come to appreciate so many things as a result of reading thoughtful stories. Celeste's quotes are always so perfect, too. To know what to say and when to say it is something I could certainly use some work on!

Kay (kkfar) | 502 comments All my favorite scenes are listed here Ladies. Cicero was a tuff, hard guy in the previous story but a really great guy here. You just love the man he is by the end of the book.

You certainly do. One thing I love about this series is that the characters are so well developed and multi-dimensional. I want to hear more from Cicero in a future book, because I'm selfish...I also want more Flynn, Jack, Colt, Gabe, all the brothers.... *dreamy sigh*

Lola | 1001 comments We have been getting amber alerts the last couple of days ,made me remember the scene with the kid putting the kidnapped sign in the window and them getting pulled over. I wonder if that has happened for real. I saw on the news a motorist helped find a little girl yesterday.

That scene was hilarious. Something my own kids would have done.
