Thanks for your interest! We don't currently maintain a minimum for reviewers. We just ask you read the books that interest you and leave reviews when you can. Look for 1-2 emails a week with new releases.

message 19: by Hugh (new)

Hugh Thomson | 14 comments A Dangerous Journey Home Published in Australia Jan 19 2016.
I am looking for people to review this novel.
The book is historical fiction set in the years 1950-1989. My editor said it is a gritty and exciting book.
The characters, I think, are strongly drawn and I have used dialects [Australian and Scottish and others.]
I am a Scottish/Australian writer

The book grew out of a four year study of the collapse of the CIA's Nugan Hand Bank in Australia and the involvement of the shadow CIA in drug trafficking in South-East Asia.

It uses a naïve narrator to tell the story of an Australian soldier caught up in a SOG Unit (Phoenix Program) and his enmeshment in the drug trade. It is not a book about the CIA, rather it is a study of an individual's attempt to extract himself from a situation he comes to detest.
If you are curious I can send you a flyer with my website address where you can download the first three chapters to get a taste of my style of writing. Send me an email address and I'll send the flyer as an attachment.

If you would like to review this novel I can ask my publisher to send you a review copy of the book. (Sorry, they will only send digital copies overseas due to the exorbitant postage charges.)
Thanks for your time.
Hugh Thomson

Thank you Cynthia, I will get my publisher to send you the file.
Looking forward to your feedback. I have read a couple of your reviews and you tell it like it is it seems. That's OK by me.
Regard Hugh Thomson.
