Deiena comes up again in the third book. They were originally mentioned in the first and defined as a wood spirit. My question is, did Kay make up this as a new name for a wood spirit or tree deity or is this name found in other cultures?

And while we are on definitions vs. made-up words, does 'thieren' ("the rarest of metals") exist outside Kay's head?
I am not sure about deiena, but thieren I believe that is a made-up word.
