Rinji | 490 comments Sorry. The book did not come in. It might not be available until next week. I hope it comes sooner though.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Aww that sucks! Hopefully it comes in soon :) I have mine for a little while, a few weeks I think!

message 11: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments And once we start reading it it shouldn't take us long to read. I hope anyway. :D

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Yup! Shouldn't take long at all! :D
But hopefully it comes in soon :). I know my copy took a while, and there were a few available, so I think it's quite popular lol.

message 13: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments It has been shipped to my library but either they have not opened it and checked it in for me or it hasn't arrived yet. I asked.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Ahhh. Well hopefully they get moving! Lol no rush though~~

message 15: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Okay. I will let you know when I have it in my hands.

message 17: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments So I jut got an email saying that this book is at the Library waiting for me. I will try to get it tomorrow after I get out of class. However, it all depends on how my back feels by the time I get done with class. I will let you know. If I don't get it tomorrow the earliest I could go get it is on Monday.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Awesome! That's awesome but no worries, when you get it you get it and we can start :)

message 19: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Okay sounds good.

message 20: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Sorry I did not get the book today. I went to get it and got on a bus... the bus changed numbers and the bus driver did not tell anyone so I did not get to the library. I will go there tomorrow.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Awww that's okay! (Shucks, I hate when bus drivers do that!)

message 22: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Same and I got the book today. So we can start now.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Excellent! I shall probably start on my way home today~

message 24: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Okay sounds good. I will start tonight before I go to sleep.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Awesome!

SO I started. It's interesting--still getting used to reading Tim's pov.

message 26: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Yeah I agree. Though as the story progresses I am sure it will be easier.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
It does get easier over time~~Fitzpatrick makes them sound very different ^^

message 28: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I only read a bit last night and have been kinda busy today. I will read more later.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
I'm flying through it. I like it, but I don't love the whole story. But I do really like how Fitzpatrick writes, reminds me a lot of Sarah Dessen actually.

message 30: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I am really enjoying the book so far. I am on page 38, beginning of chapter Seven. I do like how Fitzpatrick writes as well. I have been taking this book a bit slow because I just finished classes and have been working on some crafts. I might spend most of tomorrow reading it though. I had forgotten that the father of Alice had gotten hurt. I remember the situation but it had slipped my mind a bit.

message 31: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments So I just got to the part where Tim has found out that he has a son. It shouldn't surprise me but it kinda did. I wonder if Tim will want to be a part of the kids life and if he will actually make the date he has with Alice. I hope he does because other wise it will be hard for Alice and Tim otherwise.

message 32: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Okay just finished the chapter with Alice at the bank. I can't believe that Sam's mother has gone back on what she promised the Garrett's after hitting Mr. Garrett with her car. Grrrrr! I now remember why I did not like her very much.

message 33: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I know I am posting several times without waiting for you to reply... Sorry... But agh... there are several things that I want to talk about as I read this book.

I think that Tim not telling anyone about him being a father really was not the best idea. The Garrett family could have helped him cope and take care of the kid even though they have their own problems. They would not have let him deal with it all on his own.

message 34: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments There is one thing about this book that I am having problems with. It seems like Alice and Tim don't spend a lot of time together. Most of what we are reading is either Tim alone with the kid or Jase or Alice taking care of her family. At least so far.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Lol it's okay! Sorry I've been busy, but I've been reading!

I was hoping Tim would deny the fact about the kid, but he also took it like a champ!

I KNOW RIGHT? That's so mean of Sam's mum (though I was a little iffy about having a return of Sam's Mum is Evil/Mean subplot again, but it's okay).

Hmm agree too....like it's not that bad for him to tell everyone but I can see why he didn't. He's been a fuck up since the beginning, so this was something else everyone could comment on him again...

Yeah I agree too...they don't spend much time together, yet they're really attracted? And it's also why Tim's thoughts bother me because of that, because they're always centred on Alice's body (which is probably very normal of a guy...) and not enough on conversing with her? But they kind of also just fit together.

message 36: by Rinji (last edited Dec 13, 2015 01:23AM) (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Don't worry about it. I understand. I don't have anything going on so I have a lot of time to spare right now.

I agree. I was surprised that Tim did not ask for a paternity test. But he is handling being a father pretty well.

I did not like that part either. I thought that she would hold up her end of the bargin and be done with it. I also thought that she would be okay with Sam dating Jase by now but I guess not.

True. I can understand why he didn't, don't get me wrong, but it would have been better if he had just told everyone.

Yes, they do fit together pretty well and I am also bothered by how much Tim thinks of her body rather than getting to know her better and talking to her. I guess I will learn more as I continue to read the book.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Lucky you!

Hmm yes, most would do it first, but I think with Tim, he's taking responsibility. And there is the physical evidence...which though has yet to be proven, also is similar to him.

>.< I dislike it alot that Fitzpatrick dumped Grace into that same role again. But I guess she needed to, in order to put more pressure on Alice's shoulders.

Nah, I get what you mean. That's what I thought too, and I kept thinking that it was stupid of him to not tell everyone in the beginning, but as I read, I get where Fitzpatrick is going with Tim.

It's a bit of a pain right?? Having so much of a focus on Alice's body....I mean sure, guys probably do that in reality, but idk, it's a little...boring to read. BUT not so boring that I'm going to put this down.

message 38: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I agree with everything you said. I am not as far as you are yet, about 50 pages from where you are at the moment.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Nice! I may finish it tonight, if I have time, but otherwise, I'll be done with it tomorrow morning on the train. It's getting intense.

OH I should say, I really don't like...Hester much....

message 40: by Rinji (last edited Dec 13, 2015 03:24AM) (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Yeah, I haven't liked her much either. I feel she is using Tim as a way to just get away from her responsibilities and her attitude is not very nice either.

I could also finish this book tomorrow as well. It would not take that long. I have about 18 chapters left or so.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Right? I also feel like she has the wrong idea about her relationship (lack of relationship) with Tim. Like she does this 'couply' thing or a thing that has a 'couply' feel, when clearly that's not what they are at all!

Nice!!! Train rides are always long for me, so yeah xP

message 42: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Yeah, I feel the same way. I wish she would just figure out what is between them and be happy with that. I like the idea of the two of them together though.

message 43: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I don't think Tim thinks he wants to put Cal up for adoption but he really doesn't. He would be a really great dad and he really cares about the kid.

message 44: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I like how Tim gets Alice to go talk to Gracie about backing out on the agreement.

message 45: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Okay I have just finished Chapter 37 and Tim and Alice have just had sex for the first time. It is about time the two of them figure out what is between them and that they love each other. Took most of the book, unlike Sam and Jase, but about time.

message 46: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments Okay so I know it was possible that Tim was not Cal's father but I want him to be. Is that a bad thing? He has been such a great dad to Cal and it has helped him out so much as well. He has become so responsible and everything. I have about 4 chapters left, that is including the epilogue. I will be finishing this book tonight as I am at the point where I can't put it down.

message 47: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments GRRRRRR!!!! I can understand, in a way, why Fitzpatrick made it so that Tim is not the father, but still! He would have been good for the kid and the kid was good for him. I wanted Cal to be Tim's kid. I really did. Arg.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
He didn't! Tim got really attached!

(I love how Tim went to pick Alice up, and then I love how Alice in the end went to take care of Grace herself)

Yeah haha it did! I don't know how I feel about Tim and Alice. But I do like them together.

Me too. I wanted Tim to be a father too lol.

message 49: by Rinji (new)

Rinji | 490 comments I feel the same about not knowing how I feel about Tim and Alice. I don't feel as attached to them as I did with Sam and Jase.

I was really disappointed that Tim wasn't the father. I almost cried for him.

Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ} | 1046 comments Mod
Sam and Jase, I feel, had a deeper relationship/more development. But Tim and Alice just fit together, so it didn't feel as deep.

Awww I was sad for him to. But well, I can see why Fitzpatrick did that though.
