Help Write the Book Version

If we have each individual name the cover would be too wild. Inside we can have everyone's name that wrote the book and ppl who created characters in it etc. It would look better as a singular name for it.

This is what we have:

So I suppose we discuss what we would like the plot to be and what characters we’d like to include, points of view, and all of that here.

What we were thinking for the plot of the roleplay is that the city does end up in an actual civil war. The city council would end up splitting at some point, the resistance would remain more-or-less in tact. Different people would end up taking care of different bands of people in order to help them survive rather than fight for power. The city would be largely destroyed. The city council and the resistance would end up destroying each other (but not all members or maybe really any of either really dying), and the wall would collapse, releasing magic back into the world. Which would result in “Hey, ack, there’s a lot of land we know nothing about!” and “What the hell are these powers I suddenly have???” all at once. And I think that’s basically what we have thought of. Please give your thoughts/ideas/suggestions/things you’d like to see or change/et cetera.

We also have to think about the basics. Even stuff like the Point of View, how many main and secondary characters we want, at what point do we want to start timeline-wise, do we want to include events happening in the roleplay, things like that.
Also, maybe each of us chooses 1-3 characters of our own characters we use for the main/secondary main, how many depending on their importance? If they have more important characters than 3 tell the rest and we'll probably just be cool with adding more. We just don't want to have dozens of them we're trying to keep track of.

So, maybe we should make a list of all the characters we are currently allowed to use? And maybe a sort of thing that says who is connected to whom and/or like plot ideas for them? That way we can choose that sort of thing?

I don’t know if it’s only three characters each? I feel like we need to get further along in the RP before we can really decide who is the most important. I feel like we have some “futuristic” technology in the Heart of the City, particularly around the city council -- we’d have to decide exactly what. I feel like the Slums are a bit behind us, but I don’t know exactly how far behind us they should be. I think a lot of that depends where in the Slums a person lives. And the Outskirts I think have more advanced technology only if someone rich has buildings there? And then I think the rest of the Outskirts are basically the Stone Age with whatever scraps of tech the people can find. Does that sound good or…………………..? ~~ Elf

I think that makes a lot of sense, we don’t have much for rp going on yet so we can’t quite decide yet. We will have to decide how far behind the slums are, I’d imagine they wouldn’t have holograms and stuff like the heart does. But yeah, like the sounds of it. ~~ Maska

I do too. I took like five minutes to go through my entire wallet to find a pass for something a couple days ago and then realized it was just in the wrong pocket. And I've forgotten my book in class before.

Okay, this seems really amazing guys, and I'm not kidding. But before starting anything, shouldn't we get more...organized, maybe?


First of all, we need to choose which charries to use, if we're going to make fictional ones, choose/edit their history if necessary, etc. Then the theme, then the specifics. :3 Or maybe its just because I'm a really annoying, sometimes bossy, sorry about that perfectionist freak. If so, I'm sorry. :/

Yeah, I agree. But part of me feels we should probably do additional worldbuilding before we do plot development. And I think we should be farher along in the rp before maybe choosing our charries (because I think we will have a better sense of which charries actually matter that wa)

I think we've personally started off too far ahead of ourselves. As elf said we need to rp further and develop story line and plot in here first before we can begin to get organized with the book since the book is based off what we generally do in here.

Yeah. Definitely could do with developing the history and like social stuff and like how different parts of the city live? I feel like there are subsections of the the different areas.

Definitely, I think for the most part that's all we can do now. I'd imagine there would be, generalizing an area especially when it's the circumference of the heart of the city and then there's the outskirts would would have even more spread out. I think for the outskirts, the areas with farming or like for example Aston's factory etc would be sections better off but other areas basically ghost town kind of thing..??

Yeah. There are definitely varying levels of poverty/wealth in the three sections. Like there isn't actually a really defined border between the MCS and HotC in a lot of places. And then in the Outskirts you have places like the Burnt Land that are completely useless and poor and, well, burnt to a crisp (that will be covered in Dagger's history).

For sure! Yeah I can see it just gradually morphing slowly into the slum area for most parts. *nods* We'd probably have to have some sort of summary of the basics of each part in the prologue and then get more into it as characters visit areas....

Of course the history as well. Everything will probably get more in depth as the story goes on. I can see the beginning basically being the summarized context in a Council approved textbook so it would be biased..??

Yeah! I think it would be a kinda cool concept and so gradually gabs will fill in with the pieces discovered by the characters as we move through the book. Well depending on how long we'll have the book, we could have the resistance's side of the history etc beginning the second book... but that all depends on the timeline. I don't think we should cut it off with the resistance propaganda though, it would only confuse the reader.
