I'm about three-quarters through the book and I'm wondering where Filloy is taking us? I'm certainly wondering what's going to happen to Op and his bruised noggin....

The dinner party is certainly the centerpiece of the novel. A properly motley collection of friends, showing the complexity of Op Oloop's social life. When he hasn't been recently brained, that is.

Particularly enjoyable are the intermittent skirmishes between the Finnish submarine captain and the French pimp.
