Yayy ^-^

:)

We'd probably want to get it published as an actual book -- or at least that is what I think. Would we still be able to do that if it were on Wattpad?

A lot of people get their stories published after being on wattpad though once published most get taken off wattpad but it would be good to see people's reaction to it before we get it published as an actual book.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

That makes sense. So we'd do a group account for that, too, right?

message 57: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
Yeah probably. Though we don't need to do that one I don't think any time soon. We still need to get the time line down, all the characters that will be involved etc etc etc.

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

Touche

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, probably

message 60: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
Exactly, yeah. Though with everyone busy with school work and etc we might not be able to do it continuously every week.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah

message 62: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
We could try to once we get to that point.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

And we don't necessarily have to start posting immediately. I imagine we'll want to get an editor while cleaning it up between Wattpad and publishing?

message 64: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
Definitely not, but still. Probably, would be the best bet xD

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. I so want the world to see these charries!

THEY WILL SEE AND EXPERIENCE THEIR PAIN, SORROWS, TRAGEDIES, AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN!!!

IT WILL BE DONE

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

YES

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
IT HAS BEEN SAID! xD

Also, how should we do this timeline?

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, tiki-toki.com has good timeline software. Or we could do a table for it.

message 70: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
Hmmmm, well we could try the table but if that doesn't work out too well we can try the tiki-toki.com.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay. I think we should put in historical stuff, too, from like the creation on. And maybe stuff of character backstories, too?

message 72: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
I think the history of the city should be the like the prologue kinda idea in the very beginning to situate the scene. Maybe during certain chapters with certain people they could discover hidden things that the public doesn't know sort of thing??

I could see character backgrounds being integrated. As characters confide in each other it's revealed what happened to them. That and the character in each chapter that has it's main focus could have reflects on their past etc. ??

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

That sounds good. So like the history of hobbits as the beginning of LotR?

Yeah, definitely integrating them into the story. Are you on the gmail? KT and I are discussing history and such if you're interested in participating . . . .

message 74: by ӍдѕҞa (new)

ӍдѕҞa (whichsidewillyouchoose) | 1876 comments Mod
I'd imagine yeah.

For sure. Currently I'm not. I'll head on.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

=)

Okay

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

I have Wattpad. The chances of the book getting published officially after posting on Wattpad is incredibly low; you have to win the wattys award, get at least 5K votes, and then submit it to the wattpad manager and that takes like a whole year. :3

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

The process of getting published in the first place is a long one. It couldn't hurt to get feedback in the meantime.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh no, I'm not saying no the wattpad idea. I think its great! I'm just saying that getting published because of wattpad is a really long wait.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't think we need to get published because of Wattpad. Couldn't we have it posted there but get it published somehow else?

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
I have ties to publishing companies, I could get it out there

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm well we could always use Denver's recommendation. My cousin has a running publishing company, and she loves publishing books on my recommendation. I could ask her. But first, we have to finish it first. :p

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah okay

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
Also a good and inexpensive process is piblishing our own via CreateSpace. Thats how I got started originally

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

That's a good idea. Wait, what's CreateSpace again? :p

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
A self publishing company through Amazon

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay. Should've googled that. :p Asking it just makes me sound dumb...which I sort of am...

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
Nahh no worries. A lot of peoole dont know about it

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

woah you type fast

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
Lol yea thats me

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

Can I ask you something? :p Why Golden Heart?

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
Well its just like. You can have a dark soul, but that doesnt mean your heart is truly black

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

that's such a pretty line. :)

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

If we self publish, don't we also have to do our own advertising?

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 260 comments Mod
Somewhat yes, but most publishing companies dont actually adervtise. With CreateSpace, youre automatically for sale on kindle/ebook, can be bought off of Amazon, and can market yourself to places like b&n

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, what Denver said. *echo*
