Well here's what I was thinking. Yes, there will be 'nicer' quote on quote zodiac-representatives than another. Surely we dont have to coin them ALL bad, though. My thoughts were that at least the majority of them set aside their differences and unite against this sort of tyrannic world they live in. Each of them has something they can contribute. E.g. Leo's very charismatic and convincing. Gemini is clever. Aries is tough... etc.

Haha! Well I don't know much about Leo from PJO, but apparently his story doesn't consist of a lot of happily ever afters. :)

Anyway I was thinking that what if we made the competition a bit more complicated. We still had the two praetorian guards, but what if the public could save five individuals from fighting in the gladiator games, and the winner could save one. But, then, you'd say - we'd still have so many people left. So what happens if it was more of survival? I don't know, maybe this is edging too close to the Hunger Games but I was thinking we could:

A. Put them in this arena and see who can out last each other (they're not fighting amongst themselves, only the beasts) or

B. They go in separately however many times until there are two left and they fight (think of like a tournament)

ok, so point is what if the public saved... I'm going to toss out random names... Cancer, Pisces, Taurus, Capricorn, and Libra. Leo is saved by MC because maybe he made him/her swear to save him after some situation. Alright, Leo doesn't know that Virgo is not saved until MC breaks the news and they then piece together WHY one of the weakest people wouldn't be quote "saved" (because normally they save the tough ones for the fights, and excuse those who haven't 'proved themselves')

(Keep in mind Leo is not a praetorian guard, he was just saved. The one who comes out Victor in the second games is the next praetorian guard. Neither are the zodiacs saved by the public are praetorian guards)

Virgo comes from a wealthy family and MC and Leo figure out she's supposed to be an example to all the rich folk who think they're 'immune' (and maybe her fathers a rebel, we could use that too). This is just code for, they're going to jinx her, and kill her off. Anyway, Leo decides to take her place, and he dies in her stead.

Leo's death ends up triggering the rebellion. Thoughts?

Yeah. Sorry it's a bit confusing, but I thought it was an interesting idea. But I figured it would be perfect because

1. Leo would be one of the zodiacs who would be 'popular' among the people because he's so engaging. Which means that people would feel his loss, the 'injustice' of losing such a soul and

2. Leo also comes from someone of the 'wealthier' circles making those of the higher classes rebel

Okay, so we should figure out what the challenges are, and how many and stuffs...

I think putting them in an arena definitely, like, fits with the time period and such - but I mean...eh...and it does seem kind of like Hunger Games

What if we had more, like - OMG IDEA!!!!

What if we had other Greek myths in here too, like monsters that they have to fight or something, and the myths are interlaced with this story...?

I was also thinking that these are the original zodiac signs and their stories, and this praetorian guard contest-thing was so incredible and different from all the others, that it was put up in history...or something..
