I started the book but had to return it to the library before I finished.

I think it's an interesting premise.

I read a little of it and got very bored, sorry. I don't do historical non-fiction very well and I didn't love the author's approach. I also found the premise to be ill-founded. The author assumes that Plato is awesome. Far to much of his emphasis is on him. Also, looking at some things online, it appears that the author might be incorrect.

Troy Munro | 43 comments I couldn't get past the section on the fall of Rome. I understand that history can be stories, but I thought his approach to storytelling to describe his claim didn't work.
