Identical author name making new profiles

I just added a contributing author to two books only to find that I had created two new profiles, with identical spacing:

When I double-checked by going through the add book/author link, all 3 come up together. I used copy & paste for the name, but had to retype each to get the books to go to the correct profile. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a weird glitch?

Guessing a glitch of some kind, since it is showing 2 spaces for all 3 authors, when you click on the similar names search under one of the non GR profiles.

Thanks Philip. I seem to remember this happening at least once before, but it certainly isn't all the time, thank goodness. Really strange that each book made a new profile, when the exact same thing was pasted into them.

These were all added as secondary authors from the book edit pages, right?

I'll see if someone can take a look at this.
