It looks like LM is finally down. Was anyone an original member? How long was it up?
I was there for most of the time it was around. I think it was there at least two years, but probably less than three.
I had just switched to it when Shelfari sent out its notice.

I like LibraryThing much better than GoodReads.
I think i was there about two years. Kythe was there before me, and groups were brand new when i joined. I joined as backup and because id heard there were nested group conversations.Sharon, for the longest time i preferred lt as well. Im getting better here at gr, though.
My mini iPad takes forever to load GR, and I get impatient. LibraryThing is just so easy!

I like things about both Goodreads and LibraryThing but for different reasons.
I probably would like LibraryThing, but I just don't have the energy to learn another site. I don't know this one very well yet - it is HUGE! I have a feeling it will take years for me to get the hang of using even half of the features. I am praying this site does not close down also.
I'm using both LT and GR. GR usually exasperates me after just a few minutes while I enjoy my time on LT.
Maybe while I'm home on staycation, I'll check it out.

Goodreads- My daughter is on the site and I can follow what she is reading, the print is bigger and the site more colorful, I like the quotes and I like the feed about what everyone is reading on my friend list. LibraryThings- You can add your movies to the site and most of my groups from Shelfari and Leafmarks moved over there.

I liked being able to use 1/2 stars too. You can do that on LibraryThing.
