I was actually reading this one for most of September and I was gonna recommend it for BOTM but never did so that's ironic, but I'm still in the last 80 pages or so.

My friend Greg actually got hired by Sony Pictures to write some professional-grade fanfiction based off the two books prior to the release to the movie. So if people are jonesing for some more Yancyverse after they read the BOTM, just holler and I'll post the link.
But I'd rather you read the book FIRST :-)

I'd love to read that. But first I need to read the book.
What a coincidence, I just started reading this book on Monday without having seen this thread =)) I'm on page 80 and love it so far.

I'm excited to talk about the book when everybody has read the book!

I didn't review it but I gave it 4 stars. I will say that I loved most of it, the only problems I had were (mild spoilers) (view spoiler)

We've got a great book-to-movie selection this month, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancy:
After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.
Now, it's the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth's last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie's only hope for rescuing her brother--or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.
