Um, the book's called the Fifth Wave and the thread title says the Fourth Wave. Just pointing that out ;)I was actually reading this one for most of September and I was gonna recommend it for BOTM but never did so that's ironic, but I'm still in the last 80 pages or so.
I picked this title for my Mod Read for October at a group I moderate--so of course I'll join in-starting the 5th!
I already read both this one and the sequel but if I'll keep an eye on the thread. I'd love to read the comments and maybe add a little something. ;)
Yea I want to hear from those who already read it too. Hopefully I can start it tomorrow. I'll let you guys know.

My friend Greg actually got hired by Sony Pictures to write some professional-grade fanfiction based off the two books prior to the release to the movie. So if people are jonesing for some more Yancyverse after they read the BOTM, just holler and I'll post the link.
But I'd rather you read the book FIRST :-)

What a coincidence, I just started reading this book on Monday without having seen this thread =)) I'm on page 80 and love it so far.

I didn't review it but I gave it 4 stars. I will say that I loved most of it, the only problems I had were (mild spoilers) (view spoiler)
I finally finished reading it. Review will be written in the next few days and then I am going to read all of your reviews because I am curious what you think about this book.
I'm starting it this weekend, FINALLY! Can't wait...and thanks for not putting any spoilers in here!
I zoomed through this book and the sequel (which was good but not as amazing IMO). Wow!! SOOOOOOO Good!!! Rick Yancy must be eating the fruit of the gods for breakfast. To Shelby's message: (view spoiler)
I liked all your reviews. They are to the point. I believe my review got a bit out of hand. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

We've got a great book-to-movie selection this month, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancy:
After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.
Now, it's the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth's last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie's only hope for rescuing her brother--or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.
