I'm fairly certain it's ice hockey, but they never specifically say (college game). So I'll keep it in my files and use it only if I never find "the puck."

It is a great series and the graphic novels are pretty good too, but I like being surprised, so I don't read them until after the season is over. It's interesting to see how they diverge from the original plot. Don't watch too late into the night, sometimes it's hard to get to sleep or you have zombie-mares.

I do get bored when they are in one location for too long, but I actually don't like it when the group is separated either. I'm just a fickle fan. :D

I'm actually in a discussion about Walking Dead on GoodReads: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Marla | 1036 comments Okay, I'm really frustrated, because I haven't encountered much from the list in my reading, but in real life...I've seen or heard of a sailboat, biscuit, mascara, seat belt, cartoon, globe, horror movie, penguin, macaroon, coin, overbearing mother, orange, wheelchair, karaoke, PBJ, rubber duck, hockey puck, takeout menu, elevator, Mercedes, (I own an) antique store, beautician, ladies night out, man cave, priest, video game console and a practical joke. LOL...maybe we need a encounter-in-real-life challenge.

Haha Marla every time I hear one of those words I think oh I need that then I remember nope it has to be in a book.

My first few books I found quite a few though.

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Haha I'm the same, I think Oohh I need that one and then realise I'm reading the daily paper or something!

No I knew about that one but knew you were nowhere near getting to it seens as you haven;t started the, I think I know what book it was i'll let you know once I check.

I searched my book folder on my computer for Katana ( yes i'm determined to get them all) and its apparently in Clockwork Princess which I have lined up in the next few months. Not sure if you read that series though, if not I can tell you one of the other ones that came up.
I found Green beret in another series that you haven't started yet.

I found most within a few days but I did manage to read quite a lot that week, I seem to be slowing down on finding words now.

I'll take it if you don't find anything else, but since we're still so early in the game, I'd prefer that it specifically mentions ice since there are other options out there. Thanks!

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Erghh no I tried the city of bones and I wanted to stab my eardrums with a rusty screwdriver haha!
The brother / sister thing was just Eww and I couldn't care enough about any of the characters, if the MC had died I wouldn't have cared!
Watched the movie too, just to see if it would change my mind and make me want to reread. ............um no!

message 117: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments I'm glad y'all are enjoying the game. I kinda like the idea of the real life version, although I think we'd have to pick some really difficult words from books if we did that. Hmmmm...

message 118: by Marla (new)

Marla | 1036 comments Hey, Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare is on my short-list of books to read to finish a series, so I will have to read it this quarter. I'm reading a bunch of books...just not with any of these references!

message 119: by Elishia (new)

Elishia Haha Vicci, yes that almost put me off but I refused to believe it.
It was in Eleanor and Park I just checked.

Marla we'll be BR it in a few months.

I forgot to check my latest book and just found some more thanks ☺

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments I've just found antique store in Panic quite a good read as well.

Eleanor and Park was a DNF for me, got kinda bored with it, I may have to reread as everyone seems to love it, the same with Easy as well I need to reread that one too.
