Jeff jammed his hands into his pockets and kept his head down as he moved. It was clear that he was lost in his thoughts, too distracted to watch where he was going. It wouldn't take long for him to bump into someone.

[Cloudy Storms]

Raiden scoured the town square for Jeff, and when she seemingly saw him from afar, she ran toward him. "Are you Jeff?" She ran a little too quickly and accidentally bumped him a bit, and she stepped a few paces back. "Sorry." She added.

[Roxanne, 母]

"Whoa!" He stumbled backwards as well, but quickly regained his balance again. Then he blinked in surprise. "Uh, yeah, I am. Who-?"

Before he had a chance to finish, Jess suddenly threw herself at him, taking the shorter boy to the ground. "We've been looking everywhere for you!" she exclaimed, hugging him tightly despite his best efforts to squirm free. "Where the heck were you?! There was another quake! A bad one!"

[Cloudy Storms]

Raiden exhaled in relief. "See, we found him." She looked over to Ty.

[Roxanne, 母]

He nodded, looking relieved as well as he knelt beside Jeff and his sister. "I'm glad you're okay, sir," he smiled, despite how odd it sounded for him to refer to a kid as his superior. "You're not hurt at all, are you?"

"I'm fine." Jeff finally managed to free himself from Jess' hug, looking worriedly between the three of them. "And it looks like I should be asking you guys that! You said there was a quake? Was anyone hurt?"

[Cloudy Storms]

"We had a close shave, but they're fine. I don't believe we've met, however. I'm Raiden. I assume you're Jeff, right?" She said dryly, extending a hand for a shake.

[Roxanne, 母]

He accepted her hand, the worry melting away into a relieved smile. "That's right. You're a friend of Ty and Jess, right? Thanks for taking care of them - they can be a bit of a handful sometimes."

"Hey!" Jess protested, sticking her tongue out at him in an over the top manner. Her older brother just shrugged.

((Sorry I've been away from this group for so long. Things have been pretty tough on my end lately.))

"Oh, it's nothing at all. Babysitting is in my resume." Raiden laughed. "There was some damage done near your base. Nothing major, but definitely a good excuse for a little renovation." She recalled.

[Roxanne, 母]

He grinned a little at that. "Well we've been meaning to change things up a bit anyways. I suppose now's as good a time as ever."

"Does that mean we'll be using my design ideas?" Jess pipped up, looking eager.

Jeff made a face at the idea. "Uhhh... we'll see."

[Cloudy Storms]

"Need an extra hand? I'm quite sturdy, despite my appearance." Raiden offered.

[Roxanne, 母]

"Well I don't want to bother you if you have something else to do..." Jeff scratched the back of his head, looking sheepish. "But yeah, that'd actually help us out a lot."

[Cloudy Storms]

"Don't worry, I'm on leave so it'll be fine. I was bored out of my mind anyway. Just tell me what to do." Raiden smiled, glad to have something to preoccupy her.

He nodded, returning her smile. "Let's go see how bad the damage was then, and we'll go from there."
