I am calling 7/7 complete, although I am seriously bending that cookbook, I know! I had intended my last entry to be The Grinch or A Christmas Carol, but my family kind of crashed and burned on Christmas traditions this year and I didn't get any Christmas books read at all. Anyway, all done. Thanks for the challenge!
Haven't seen any movie for Carmilla or The King in Yellow (any of the stories). Really intended to watch some version of Macbeth, but its not happening this year.
The Hobbit: Book wins. (I've only seen the cartoon movie, which I expect is probably better than the Peter Jackson extravaganza.)
Heart of Darkness: Movie (Apocalypse Now) wins. (Unless you listen to the Kenneth Branagh audiobook/Audible version. Then the audiobook wins, big.)
Bonus:
read in September, saw the movie in October. (Advantage: book by a nose.)
read in December, watched the 15 minute made for internet movie. (Advantage: Book. By a lot.)

Duration: October 1 - December 31, 2015
With the holidays coming up, it's the most popular time for movie releases. Several of the upcoming movies are based off of popular books. From Frankenstein to The Martian, our beloved books are getting some time on the big screen. Many favorites have been made into films over the years, and it's always interesting to see how the movie compares to the book.
For this challenge, simply choose a number of books that have movie adaptations to read during the quarter. Bonus points if you watch the movie - and if you do, tell us what you think of the differences (mark your spoilers, of course).
here's the plan - finished 2/3
