Spoilers! Any spoilers for later books/characters, please put in spoiler tags.

What are you impressions of the third part of the book? What do you like/not like? If this is a reread, have you picked up on anything you didn't the first time around?

I've finished it now, so it's hard to separate the parts but, uhm, I just wanted to say how much I loved the imaginary dragons. Also, that Twoflower was ridiculously good at it while Rincewind, a "magician", couldn't muster anything.

Also the scene on the plane was fun! "Dreiblumen", and having to imagine who these characters would be if on earth was a pretty cool concept.

I like that you mentioned "Dreiblumen" because I was trying to remember what part that was in so I could post properly. I had more trouble following this scene the first time I read it, but I've had some German classes since then. It seemed extra fun to me when I realized it translates to "two-flowers." I recall being really lost the first time I read the plane scene. It just sort of flipped over.

Brett | 4 comments I think my favorite tidbit from this section was Twoflower's infallible logic of "You're as dead falling from 40 feet as from 40 fathoms" (okay I paraphrased). I don't know why it stuck out to me, but it did.

Yes! One of my favorite sections of the book, too. Do you watch the TV show Sherlock? If so, have you seen the special episode that aired in January? Something that happened in the episode reminded me so much of this scene.

I love Sherlock! Which scene?
