Ok started this one last night. I am intrigued by the concept of the journalist as a protagonist. In most police procedurals, journalists are the enemy so this is kind of a different take. I only read the first few chapters so I'll see how this one goes tonight.
Finished this one and after a little rocky start, I really enjoyed it. I am thinking that the issue for me in the beginning was that I have not read the previous books in the series and for some reason that seemed to make a difference here. I don't think it performed as well as a stand alone.
