Well, it has one book and that one is checked out. I went to Overdrive and was able to get the audio book so I'll give that a try until I get the book from the library. I'll try to find out when it will be back when I go to the library like in five minutes. LOL

The only thing is my library has but it is supposedly the same book.

Ye it is :) Think it might be British and US editions not sure though.

Finished Ch. 10

Chapter 2 was FREAKY! I have the audio version and the reader is really good! I am thoroughly enjoying the spook in this book!! (pun intended)

I guess Mam (not sure that's how it's spelled in the book) is (view spoiler)[the apprentice's mother? (hide spoiler)]

I was freaking out when he had to (view spoiler)[go down to the basement and when he was trying to sleep he kept hearing pounding noises and then footsteps and so on. FREAKY! But when he did go to the basement it was the SPOOK. I guess that was just a test to see if he'd go on time and so on. But it was a scary chapter for me! (hide spoiler)]

Can't remember who it was that did this but that one person (view spoiler)[ate a rat. Was that a witch? Trying to remember, but it was GROSS!! Then there was the one who ate the heart. Disgusting! LOL (hide spoiler)]

I really do like (view spoiler)[The SPOOK as a mentor/teacher/guide. He really takes his position seriously and no matter what I do or don't like about what they have to do, he really is an excellent coach, so to speak. (hide spoiler)]

Mam (view spoiler)[is really brave too. That night she went out to the hill and stopped whatever was going on was something else. We didn't get much info on it but she stopped them from making noises. Wonder what she did. (hide spoiler)]

All of the various creatures, descriptions of withes and ghosts, it's really good.

I hope you like it too! I'm going to go ahead and finish this up because even though it's an audio book, it's fast reading!

Okay, I am done. Even though I didn't want the audio version, I'm glad that I got it. But I went to Amazon to look up Mam to see if I was hearing it right and I saw so many cool pictures that I would love to have seen. At least I saw some on Amazon.

I will definitely be reading the other books in the series. I want to know more about (view spoiler)[pointed shoes Alice! Thomas considered her his only real friend. I liked her and would just like to hear more. (hide spoiler)]

Bony Lizzie (view spoiler)[gave me the creeps because of the bones, like the thumb bones, that she had and threw into the pit. (hide spoiler)] I can't remember the guy's name but his name was kind of fun. (That's one reason I like the book.)

For a 13 year old boy, he (view spoiler)[sure did well learning various aspects of being the Spook. It was hard for me to remember his age because I felt like all that he was learning was for someone older. (hide spoiler)]

I can't wait to see how you like it and what some of your favorite parts were.

I was actually okay, I remember being a lot worse last time I stayed alone, I think it's just cos I not used to it.

But I hope you're liking it!!! It's been my fave series forever and it's just so good xD I think mam is Irish?
