Help linking new book to my profile

I added a new book, but it won't allow me to link it to my current profile. I keep getting a message that the author already exists.

You are listed on GR as Elizabeth^^Otto where ^ denotes a space. This is to disambiguate authors with same names and won't make any difference to searches, etc. I moved the book to your profile :)
