Okay, so I just started this. I've made it to "City of Dreams". This book doesn't do number chapters, but instead it has titles at the beginning of each new section. I'll probably post spoilers about every 50 pages or so.

Evie (view spoiler)[ I like her powers, but I noticed that they aren't that strong. That sometimes they don't work. I'm wondering if that means she has to use them more often to make them stronger? (hide spoiler)]

Uncle Will (view spoiler)[ He seems kind of cold with Evie, but that's probably because he doesn't really know her all that well. In one of the chapters I think he says that he doesn't know anyone with supernatural powers, but I don't think that is true. I mean he seems really interested in the whole occult, and with Evie having her powers I'm wondering if maybe the powers are a family thing. (hide spoiler)]

Memphis (view spoiler)[ There hasn't been that much on him yet, but seeing as how he may have had the same dream as Evie, I think he is going to be an important character. (hide spoiler)]

I got to page 130 last night and let me just say it´s hard to put down. We´ve started to get some answers now and yeah, I don´t want to say too much.

(view spoiler)[Poor Ruta, but you can´t just trust anyone and think that person is true to his word. She even thought he looked like a ghost at first glance. I don´t blame her though.
That murder was gruesome and sickening. I hope they can stop him before it goes on for too long! (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, it is definitely hard to put down. I made it to page 119, I would have made it further but my brother and his kids came by yesterday to visit. :)

(view spoiler)[ Evie can see the past when she touches objects and Memphis can heal people, but what can Theta do? I'm assuming that she has some type of power since she is mentioned in the synopsis. At the end of the previous chapter, Sister Walker talks about how Isaiah might be one of the Diviners. That would be interesting to have both the brothers as Diviners, but it seems that The Diviners might eventually be in danger and Isaiah is so young I would hate for something to happen to him. (view spoiler)[ Ruta's murder was quite gruesome. She shouldn't have trusted him, but I think that there was some type of drug on his handkerchief that may have made Ruta not so suspicion of him. I'm wondering if we'll read anything more about the girl at the party from the beginning, the one who summoned Naughty John. (hide spoiler)]

Made it to page 167. I'm really liking it so far. I really like how we get to read about each character from their own perspective.

(view spoiler)[So now that I have read more, I don't think that Isaiah is a Diviner but some type of messenger maybe. The Diviners has been mentioned a lot, but I don't think there has been any information about why they are so important. It seems like Sam Lloyd might be a diviner too. (hide spoiler)]

I was thinking the same thing about Mr. Hobbes and how the house might be the Knowles' house. I would really like to know what type of power Theta has. We know that Evie can read memories, Memphis can heal, Sam seems to be able to manipulate people, and I think that Henry can get into people's dreams. I haven't figured out what Jericho can do, but from what I read it seems that that guy Jake might have done something to him. (hide spoiler)]

If you´re at 298 i´ve got a little more thoughts about Jericho.

(view spoiler)[Whatever they were doing to him(or feeding him) to make him better when he got sick must have to do with why he doesn´t like Jake and why he seems to be really strong.(Must have made him bigger and stronger, it reminds me of The Hulk..but not the same)
Might have some anger issues too? Don´t remember when exactly but he seemed to get a bit mad has he was closing and opening his fist while talking to Jake.. and if I recall correctly some other time too?? It seems he could get sick if he didn´t get does things once a year.
Does it make any sense? It sounded better in my head though..
He seems like a nice guy though, but he´s had a tough childhood and that seems to have a hold on him still. He seems to be opening up a bit more now though which I like :) (hide spoiler)]

I think that Gabe may have met Naughty John, but I haven't read anymore to see what happened to him. But I think that Evie, Sam, and Jericho might get to the theater before something bad happens, or Theta might use her powers against Naughty John. Which by the way, I think Theta's ability might have something to do with fire or heat. Not for sure, but that is what it seems like. (hide spoiler)]

I finished the book the other day, but I didn't get a chance to post. Yeah, there is a second book it's called Lair of Dreams it just came out over the summer.

(view spoiler)[ I really loved this book! I originally didn't want Evie to get with Jericho, but after reading the whole book I think I might like them together. I know that Mabel will be upset over it, but I think that she might be interested in Arthur Brown. I think that's his name? The guy that was at one of her parents' meetings, and he also saved when her when was at one of her parents rallies. (hide spoiler)]

I´m glad that there is someone else for her, someone that seems to have the same interests as her and such. (hide spoiler)]
