Just gotten into this and it reads well for a nonfiction history book. I wish I read this before Rysa Walker's YA CHRONOS files series-last one comes out 10/20. Emme Pea- you may like that series (and is amazon prime which is how I found it). Especially since you've read this already!
If I don't get the library book soon, I'll have my mom bring my copy that I left in buffalo when she visits on October 16th!
Interesting read and just finished. Decent writing for a "history book". The Holmes portion just horrific and sad that it is all true.Only complaint is what Emme Pea had pointed out to me...the "surprise!" name dropping habit of the author
Lol. I'm still "Mia" here. Yes, I like the way it reads more like a novel. I think he used that particular literary device way too frequently, where he talks about something fairly famous in vague terms and we all know where he's going with it and then he ends with the "surprise" revelation!
