Matthew Mousseau | 399 comments * Title: Eating the Colors of a Lineup of Words: The Collected Early Books of Bernadette Mayer
* Author: Bernadette Mayer
* ISBN-10: 1581771355
* ISBN-13: 978-1581771350
* Publisher: Barrytown/Station Hill Press, Inc.
* Publication date: July 15, 2015
* Format: Softcover
* Description: Bernadette Mayer has been one of the most influential poets of the late 20th century and into the present. Her celebrated and revolutionary first books have long been out of print, available on the secondary market at high costs, by loan or via single-page facsimiles online at Eclipse. While these early books have played an oceanic role in the formation of generations of poets, they are difficult to secure, meaning that opportunities to read them, let along examine them critically, has proven challenging at best. Their operative life has been reduced to rumor and/or brief excerpts, such as New Directions' Bernadette Mayer Reader. This unfortunate gap in the continuum of American experimental poetry is bridged with the publication of Eating the Colors of a Lineup of Words: The First Books of Bernadette Mayer. This multi-book collection includes Ceremony Latin; Red Book in Three Parts; Story; Moving; Poetry; Eruditio Ex Memoria; and The Golden Book of Words. (Studying Hunger Journals, also from this period, was published in 2011 by Station Hill; Memory is forthcoming from Black Widow Press.) This new edition will be an important acquisition for students of contemporary poetry, scholars and libraries.

Gaia | 125 comments The ISBN and ISBN13 provided match the ones on Amazon, but they are already taken on GR by another book ("Infiltration: A Hudson Valley Salt Line"), so, I'm not able to create the book. Maybe a more experienced librarian can do something. I'm sorry.

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments You need to create an ACE then.

Gaia | 125 comments Philip, I think this is a case of reusing ISBN by the publisher or renaming the book or something similar, because "Infiltration: A Hudson Valley Salt Line" by Anne Gorrick (contributor) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... has the same publisher (Station Hill of Barrytown) and the cover for it is the cover of "Eating the Colors of a Lineup of Words" by Bernardette Mayer.

I'm creating this book without ISBNs and the note Librarian's Note: the ISBN for this book was reused on a completely different book - ISBN 10:xxxxxxxxxx AND removing the cover from Infiltration.

Let me know if this is not correct. Thanks

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments Yep, that is how I usually do it in that circumstance.
