I believe it should be "childhoo d -favorites" instead of "childhoo n -favorites". Just thought you should know, since that's pretty critical...
Thanks Sara. I will correct the master. I have already even hit that shelf, you think I would have noticed! LOL. And you are right - it is important since people seem to spell shelf names all sorts of ways in order to differentiate and the name for the challenge has to be exact!
Angela... I heard some kind of rumor that if you read a book that isn't on any of the shelves, you don't have to count it toward your book total... is that true or false? If it's true--is that if it isn't only any of the 350 shelves, or just if it isn't on any shelves you haven't already gotten?
I do not count any books that do not have any shelves that I can touch. If I read a book that touches five shelves, but I have already counted them in my total shelves, I do not count that book. I have probably read around 40 books but have only counted 34 or so...I hope that answers your question :)
I think we should count them.... it´s funny to see people who read 3 book and have 200 shelves and people who read 30 books and have 100 shelves.

I think either way can be argued... ;) Okay... must go read now and stop hanging out on the internet!!
It doesn't matter to me one way or the other. Since I have never completed the challenge, the point for me is to hit shelves, not how many books it takes. Last time I hit 206 shelves, I just want to do more than that this time.
I really do not care how you do it... I personally do not count the books that do not touch shelves because I do not feel there is a purpose since the book is not a shelf-toucher for me.
I would love to join in on this challenge, sounds like great way to get some diverse books off my to-read shelf!
I am sorry Cindy. I originally asked for a deadline of August 1st and extended it to August 31st. Since we are midway through September, with only a month and a half to go on the challenge, it would not be fair to incorporate new players. If I have enough interest next round (Nov 1st-Jan 31st), I would like to see you there!!
oh, i thought that was just the start date of the challenge didnt notice that was also the cutoff to sign up, didnt see it in the rules. that sucks. k maybe next time. It doesnt matter if you "win" though, its just a goal to work towards so I guess I'll just continue on my own.
We are def. going to have another go around...One more month left of this round and we will begin on November 1st. I will post a thread in the middle of Oct. to gauge interest.
I will of course, once again update the spreadsheet and send it out to whoever wants it. Unless you guys have developed your own by now that is better than mine *wink, wink, Sara*
Do you want a copy of mine to see what you think? I took yours and ran with it. I think it turned out quite nicely... :)
I have lost the spread sheet someone sent me. Is there anyone willing to send it again to me? My e-mail is myspammail22@yahoo.com.Thanks. :~)
Sara - I definitely do. And can you resend your seasonal one? Something happened to mine, I can't find it??! Damn, I'll have to re-enter my data.
