'Ello! I'm Joanne! I'm in 7th grade, and I'm weird. Weird in a sense that I find that being called "weird" is a compliment, but being called "strange" or "odd" is kind of bad, insult-ish. I also LOVE math and reading!!! :D Um, I have a weird habit of typing extremely long emails, especially to friends that I don't see everyday (different state or country). I overuse the word "doy" in everyday life, though I like to spell it "duoi" because it looks better. Also, I collect stuffed animals, stationery, stickers, keychains, books (I'm not allowed to buy too many, though), etc.

My name is Katie, I'm 25, currently taking a break from college and working in retail because I cant decide what to do with myself, college is stupid expensive, and I have some health issues that make living on campus and taking a full load of classes nearly impossible. I'm currently in mourning due to the fact that the bookstore I spent so much time and money at during my tweens and teens is closing!

Wen: college was a lot of fun but it was definitely a wake up call, lol. It's tough to get up enough willpower to go to an early morning class on a cold, snowy morning without any parents nagging you to do it (or it was for me anyways)

Now the closest bookstore is about 40/45 minutes away and I really hope they stay open! They keep talking about having to reinvent themselves to keep up with all the new technologies but they seem to be doing ok so far! Ive always loved tangible books and I still prefer them to e-books, but Im not totally against ebooks. The thing I like about ebooks is their portability: I can take dozens with me in my pocket! Plus I live in the middle of nowhere so its nice to be able to get books instantly. And I can read embarrassing trashy romances without anyone knowing. But my e-reader is an ipod touch and I wear glasses so its not nearly as comfortable as holding and turning the pages of an actual book.

Hi, Katie! I'm Joanne. Aw, I hate it when bookstores close. Wait, what happens to the books in bookstores that close down? Anyway, reading in a physical book is still the best! I love it when I get so engrossed in a book that I don't even realize that I'm turning the pages. :) I'm really old-fashioned, even though I'm in 7th grade; I even prefer paper and pencil over Microsoft Word. Some authors only put their books up in eBooks, and it's so annoying, because then I can't read them physically.
