Up to chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ I get so mixed up with all the characters in this book! Also, I don't especially like any of them. But I like the ideas, and the bizarre technology that's been created. I'm worried about everyone's safety... The best bit is how much this book makes me laugh! (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 18 (view spoiler)[ I wish we got to see the universe ending! That would have been really cool, because I have no idea how Adams would describe that. Maybe they'll go back? I got very confused with all the time travelling stuff, and the changing of the tenses. I'm also confused about the whole plan going on with Zaphod, and how he's the most important man in the universe. Really, it's just a super confusing book (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 29 (view spoiler)[ This book seems almost exactly like the first one. Right now, they're in a ship and it seems as though they're all going to die... Just like the first one. And we've barely touched on the big question - Marvin knows it, he needs to tell us! I also don't like how they randomly jump between the different stories. I guess it makes sense, this book has no reason or logic to it... But I forget the second story by the time it swaps! Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying this. Just not as much as I want to (hide spoiler)]

And finished! Bit disappointed at the ending though (view spoiler)[ It just ended without wrapping up at all! I want to know what's going to happen to Earth. And what the question means. And if those people can ever work out how to have a functioning society. And if the not cavemen will learn how to play Scrabble. So many questions, and none of them answered... (hide spoiler)]

Yes it was so confusing! (view spoiler)[Zaphod was transported to Frogstar 2 (which I took to be a dream state) and that's where he discovered he was the most important in the universe (but only for that dream state and not the real world) and then he found his ship in his jacket pocket and woke up from his dream?! And he woke up in the ship in the real world... I don't know what the point was but it was a crazy ride lol (hide spoiler)]

The jumping over time is definitely random and I found that my interest kept waning. Can't say I enjoyed this one as much as the first. There were some funny and interesting jokes but it was hard to follow the overall adventure.
