A new group has just formed for an in-depth chapter by chapter discussion of the unabridged version of Les Miserables starting September 28 (mostly the Donougher version but other versions are fine). There will be dozens of discussion forums for members to post spoiler-free thoughts on different parts of the book. We also have forums devoting to the musical, Victor Hugo, background resources and just hanging out.
I've been actively involved on another Goodreads literature discussion group of the classics (LitnLife) which has had at least 10,000 posts in the past two years (and created a strong sense of community) and I'm hoping that our "Les Miserables Unabridged" group will generate some great discussion too.
