The 5th Wave
question
Read before the movie?

I am eagerly awaiting The 5th wave movie, but I am the type of person who generally reads the book first. So, my question...Is this book worth reading before watching the movie or does the movie preview just make the book look that good? It looks epic!
The book is amazing and has a lot of good detail that I'm sure the movie will miss. I would suggest you read it first, I liked it a lot personally.

Read the book first. I think you would understand the movie better if you read the book first because its one of those books where the main event happened before the book started and the book reflects on it but in the hour and 30 minutes that is the movie it wont have much time to go over it. Also the book ROCKS!!!

I haven't read the book yet but I do own it. I just haven't been in the mood for dystopian lately. The trailer looks so good and I'm sure Chloe Moretz will be amazing. I am planning on reading before the movie. Hope we both like it!
I highly recommend reading it before the movie comes out. I read it at the beginning of the year and I couldn't put it down, and since they always skimp on the details in the movie mainly because they have to because of time restraints, you should definitely read the book to get all those amazing details, and to really get a good feel for he characters as well as an attachment to them.
Then again reading the book before the movie runs a risk of the movie disappointing you but hey we all know the basic the truth that the book is always better than the movie so yeah read the book lol
