The goal of the Book Shelf.
To create a peaceful reading environment comparable to any library or bookstore that respects the readers. The reader's comfort is our primary concern.
IF YOU ARE HERE TO SELL AND/OR PROMOTE YOUR BOOK, YOU ARE NOT IN THE RIGHT PLACE. SELLING TACTICS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED FROM THE BOOK SHELF.
This group is for readers, but we are in need of authors.
You will find the rules for authors are very strict in this group. These rules are put in place to ensure a spam/promotions/sales free environment for our readers.
To preserve this environment, the following rules will be strictly enforced.
Authors CAN:
Post your book on the bookshelf in these easy steps.
1 - Go to this thread https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
2 - Locate your book's genre and select the corresponding link
3 - Reply to that thread
4 - Copy/paste this format into the "reply" and fill it out.
Book Photo using the add book/author link.
Author Name using the add book/author link.
Book Title using the add book/author link.
Genre: Any genre or sub-genre. REQUIRED TO ENSURE PROPER PLACEMENT BY THE MOD
Release Date: A release or projected release date.
Author Website NO BUY LINKS as Goodreads provides these
Summary: You have 140 words to say anything you want about your book. 140 words. And that's it.
Authors CAN:
...submit your book to The Book Store.
Direct Message me with the your book title exactly as it appears on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
Authors CAN:

...add a book trailer to the group videos! Message me with the YouTube URL and the corresponding Amazon Buy Link. I take care of the rest!

MODERATORS WILL DELETE...
...rogue threads for the sole purpose of promoting a sale.
...book promotions anywhere in this group.
...conversations in the Book Shelf.
...any and all posts containing a buy link (as Goodreads provides these)
...any and all posts incorrectly entered.
...all sale deals and/or limited time offers.
If you are worried about submitting your book properly, I am very forgiving and am happy to help :) I don't execute over errors :) If there is an error, I send you a gentle reminder along with a link to this post.

This group is opened to authors from all publication paths: Traditional, small press, indie-press. The purpose is to add books for readers to browse.
FAQ: I HAVE A BOOK THAT CAN BE CATEGORIZED UNDER MULTIPLE GENRES. CAN I SHELVE MY BOOK UNDER MULTIPLE SHELVES?
If you have written a cross-over, you are allowed up to two genres to post. ie. Romantic Fantasy can be shelved under both romance and fantasy
FAQ: I DON'T SEE THE SHELF FOR MY GENRE.
