Gonna start this tonight, a day early, because I'm so busy these next few days and won't get any reading time.

This is pretty confusing. I'm on page 22, Chapter 5.

Page 44. Oh my gosh he's only 14!!!!

Page 76, Chapter 11. It's getting better. It's seriously violent and merciless though. Man this main character is truly sick. It's rather disturbing, but I think I like it? Someone who does what he wants and doesn't relent. It really annoys me when people don't kill the bad guys because they think they're too good. This guy, Jorg, just does it because it was his initial plan. I like it :p

It's just starting to make some vague sense too, which is good. The first 50 pages confused me no end. Too many characters and not enough background story and explanation. Hopefully it makes more sense to you guys.

Chances are I won't be on for the next few days, because I'm really busy, hence I probably won't be reading that much either. That's why I started a day early. Hope it doesn't take me too long though, because I'm about to get really behind in other buddy reads haha. Slightly annoyed that this book is quite big.

No worries :) And yes, they sure are :D Got my boyfriend and another friend coming tonight, then tomorrow got my 18th birthday party, so got drinkypoos and then some friends staying. And Saturday's the after-effects, not that I'll get that drunk I don't think. I don't really drink haha.

Just kind of bummed that I don't have time to read that much. I really miss it. I'm on page 163, and it's one of those books that I don't want to stop reading, now that I've got some background info haha. He's a really intense main character, not a soppy guy at all.

goodness, this is bloody and violent

but I have a tough time really wronging him for seeking revenge (view spoiler)[ his own father didn't...how could he just accept gold and horses for the murder of his wife and youngest child.

Yeah I know I'm reading it quick. It surprised me because I thought it'd take me ages, but it hasn't :D Well, now it has, but that's only because I haven't been reading for 3 days. I plan on finishing tomorrow, although I have quite a large amount left, so I can start my next buddy read in two day's time. Also starting a chapter a day of Under the Dome tomorrow, which I'm excited for. That'll be a loooong read.

I'm still on Chapter 30, and it's really interesting. Don't know about the writing style, but I like the plotline now that it makes sense. Did you find it hard to understand at first, too?

Chapter 32 (view spoiler)[Ewwwww! He ate the heart of the necromancer! Man he's so brutal and ruthless, just to kill people on the spot and not even care. I guess that's one thing I like though, how he does what he wants and goes through with it. Can't believe he killed the Nuban though, then fought that full-on with Rike. (hide spoiler)]

Finished it. To be honest I didn't like it that much. I haven't given a book only 3 stars in a long time. I will continue the series if other people are willing later on, but it's not one of my favourites. Not enough character development, and it was all kind of pointless to me. I could never remember who was alive and who he'd killed just coz :/

she's not his REAL mom - the new wife isn't related at all

I would find it weird if he hadn't remember Katherine from when they were kids. But it's pretty typical for that time period for royal kids to all play together, when their kingdoms are allies (hide spoiler)]
