Mikana (mikanakat) | 72 comments I've seen so many challenges that are already in process, if there is a buddy read for a book i'm interested in, they're usually well into the book by the time I find the thread. So I'm setting myself a challenge - I have gotten my to-read down shelf to 219 books, and I am currently reading 2 of those books, one which should be finished tonight.

My goal is to get my to-read shelf down to under 200 - by reading the books rather than deleting any.

This is the short list of the books I plan to tackle sooner.

This is my to-read list, tell me if there are any you really loved that should be moved to the short list, or any that you think I shouldn't bother with.

As a side note - I also plan to finish my current studies - my first attempt at a diploma ever. I'm doing Digital Media Tech by correspondence, which has been a real challenge for me to even begin. I was meant to finish on the 2nd of this month, but I still have 5 assessments left to do (out of 68).

My health, both mentally and physically are not in a good place at the moment, and although I have joined a gym, ride my bike, and are taking steps to help my health, it is a constant struggle, but I don't want to say too much, as I don't need the pity. I do need to pull my socks up and lose some weight, get my blood balanced again, and move on from some of my past hurts.

Leonie (leonierogers) | 3568 comments Some great authors - quite a few of my favourites there! Terry Pratchett, CS Lewis, Orson Scott Card, Robin Hobb. :) Enjoy!

Veronica ⭐️ | 2386 comments I'll second RitaSkeeter on Assassin's Apprentice and the Magician. I loved them both.

I also enjoyed Eragon.

Good luck with your challenge.

Mikana (mikanakat) | 72 comments I have read A Child Called "It" which was hard to stomach, although approached positively.

I have read The Ant Thief and given a review, as it was a book I had been requested to review. Aimed at children younger than my kid, but was a sweet little story.

I have read The Plagiarist which I thoroughly enjoyed, even though I saw the twist coming, I was surprised when it turned out to be correct.

I have read You Add the Rainbow Adult Coloring Book another book I was requested to review, which is exactly as the title sounds, a colouring book for adults. Not naughty by nature, just intricate patterns that are easy to get lost in. Great to do whilst listening to a book.

It doesn't help though - my to-read shelf grew by over 20 books...4 down and 2 in process.
