Ghadir Hroub | 6 comments Here's a couple of questions and thoughts regarding these chapters:
When did Alice and Bea become so close to eachother? Does Cara and Sam have feelings for eachother?
I don't like Alice's boyfriend Nick..
Who's that creepy metal man?
Anyways I'm really enjoying this book!

R.A. I think Sam and Cara have feelings for each other but I think she's wrestling with her feelings for him. He seems to know that he likes her and he's waiting for her to figure it out. He licks her face in an earlier chapter and there's other things he says and does that indicate that he doesn't think of her as a sister.
I don't like Alice's boyfriend either. He's a creep to say the least.
The mystery with Elsie is getting even more intriguing.

Kate (infinitelynovel) Ok- the creepy factor went up a level for me during these chapters. They also raised more questions for me about Elsie. Loved the scene when Cara and Bea went to Elsie's house (or is it really her house?!). Although I totally wasn't expecting the moment between Cara & Bea in the bedroom! Bea seems a really mysterious character.

I have to say I don't have any problem with Nick. We've not really seen him much so far in the book. As for Cara and Sam, I do have to agree with the comment about her fighting her feelings for him. They are half-related, after all.

I am really looking forward to the party. It's a bit of a slow build up, but with what's happening I feel this only adds tension!

Cherry (_forevermint) (_forevermint) | 35 comments Ahhh totally agree with you Kate! Things just got a whole lot creepier, especially when Cara looked at the photos on her phone, seriously something out of a horror movie. Could it be possible that Elsie fell off that bridge and died? I know it's a long shot but it's really weird that no one seems to know her..

I can see why Cara's conflicted about her feelings, even if her and Sam are only related by marriage (right?).

Also, what's up with the metal man? I feel like all of the characters in this story are a bit mysterious, there's so much about them we don't know yet.

All in all though, really loving the writing and vivid descriptions!

Sandra (gotathingforthings) | 26 comments Yayyyy, I'm done with these chapters now, I feel so slow :s I really like the writing so much omg.

Does Bea like Cara? Cara obviously like Sam.

Who is Elsie? What is she? Seems to me like she is kind of a ghost.... But maybe she is a witch instead, due to all the references to witches? Is she connected to the accident season?

I have such a bad feeling about this party, especially since they moved it to the creepy house. Who thinks that is a good idea in a world where something like 'the accident season' exist?!

I also really love that we are reading this in October, it fits so well!
I liked Alice more as a character in these chapters, but I still don't understand her character. Like... First she was against the accident season (sort of?) and now she seems like she is in the 'gang' and everything. Sorry, probably me thinking about something that isn't such a big dead, but it just seemed like something was going to come out of it. If anyone knows what I mean.

I agree with you Kate, that there is a bit of a slow build up, but it is also really exciting so I don't really mind!

Let's get to the next chapters..... Yay!

Ariel Jensen (craftymanatee) | 6 comments If I didn't have enough questions about what was going on in the first 5 chapters, I certainly have more now. I'm with everyone else - does Bea like Cara or is it just a deep friendship? How do Sam and Cara feel about each other? I would no doubt be confused if I were in their shoes. I am totally freaked out with the house and Elsie's presence (I might have dropped the book in fright - I'm such a wuss).

The writing style has me on edge the entire time, just waiting for something dreadful to happen. I really enjoyed Cara and Sam's late night walk, I felt that it was really well written.

Finally, I'm really concerned about Alice and have a few ideas about the reality of the accident season. I'm worried that the accident season may go beyond physical pain and, as I said for the first 5 chapters, my psych background has me analyzing everything that's happening.

On to the next chapters!
