Lara (writinglaraferrari) Ferrari | 28 comments Haha, I know what you mean about the party... I am fascinated with the 'changelings' in Cara's vision though. They are so beautiful and just seem to exemplify the blurred lines between fantasy and reality in this book. I think this uncertainty (quite bizarrely) only seems to make it MORE magical. Petsonally, I have found myself looking at the world around me - this beautiful, Autumn-hued world - just a little differently. Like there really COULD be magic.

Cherry (_forevermint) (_forevermint) | 35 comments It's definitely interesting so far! I feel like such a baby for not wanting to read this at night but whoever Elsie is, she's giving me creepy vibes lol. And I cannot wait to read about the party, this masquerade in particular sounds full of magical possibilities.

Leslie | 8 comments I jumped a bit blindly into the story and was not expecting it to be what it is! At first, Elsie seemed interesting and odd, but the picture of the shop with her in it took odd to the creepy level! Zipped through the first 5 chapters and looking forward to more.

R.A. I really wanted to move right on to Chapter Six but I had to stop because I didn't want to accidentally write about anything past Chapter Five. This book is a little addictive.
I'm a bit worried about the party. We did get that grim tarot reading right at the beginning.
I was curious right away about Elsie. I have questions about the pictures and the doll and the dream-catchers.
I'm also curious about where things are going to go with Sam and Cara.

I don't want to read it at night either! But I felt it was really appropriate for the rainy weather we had here.

Ghadir Hroub | 6 comments So far this book is very interesting! I'm really excited to see what will happen next and who Elsie really is and what's going to happen on the party! I really like the authors writing style too! Looking forward to read more of it:)

Kate (infinitelynovel) I finished the first 5 chapters last night, and I have to say I am really intrigued. Elsie is a huge question mark in the book so far. Just who is she? Or what is she? And where has she gone?

The writing is absolutely beautiful. This is a great time of year to read the book, as I actually feel like I'm there! Also, Cara's visions of the 'changelings' are described so perfectly. She seems to have magic within her. Interested to see how things play out for her and Sam.

Looking forward to reading the party, although like a lot of you have already mentioned, it sounds a bit ominous.

Sandra (gotathingforthings) | 26 comments Okay, so slow little me finally received my copy two days ago and now I've read the first 5 chapters! Yay!

I really like how the book is written, it is interesting and simple at the same time. I don't know what that is up with these characters yet, they seem real, but a bit cliche. I don't dislike anyone yet though, but Alice seems a bit... I don't know how to find the right word. Scetchy? I don't know.

And yes, we all wonder who Elsie is. What is her role in this book? I'm actually just full of questions. What is the accident season exactly? How did it start? Is it real at all or just something..... else? I don't know yet, but I hope I'm going to get all my answers and a good conclusion.

So far, so good!

Ariel Jensen (craftymanatee) | 6 comments I only just got the book a week ago (since I was borrowing it from the library) but when I did get it, I read through it all in one sitting and took notes along the way.

I've always tended to avoid books that look any sort of scary but I wanted to tackle that this month. Not knowing anything about the book when I picked it up, I was a bit on edge waiting for one of those jump-out scares. I was pleasantly surprised that the book wasn't quite that way. I loved the description of the changelings at the party and wondered if there was a morbid foreshadowing to what Cara was seeing. Or, are the changelings a foreshadowing to what is going to happen? Oh my goodness, and I'm with everyone else, who is Elsie? Is she even a real person? Where did she go? I'm also feel a bit nervous for Cara and her family. My background is in psychology so without fully intending to, I began analyzing them from the get-go as Cara described her family situation. What is going on with Alice? And how is Cara and Sam's relationship going to work out throughout the story?

So many questions! Looking forward to what else is in store :)

Alexmary I really like this book so far, I want to know why they have these accidents? and Elsie is so misterious to me, I think she knows about the accident season, and Idk but maybe she wants revenge because Cara has forgotten her, when she always was nice to Cara. I am Excited to keep reading! \o/

Laura Elena (laurinena) | 2 comments I just started this book and my God, so loving it. I got really intrigued by Elsie and the whole concept of having an accident season, that's just so creepy and awesome. I didn't have any particular expectation about this book but I'm loving it and Mom sort of got mad at me this morning because I just coulnd't let go of it and that's a sign: this is good and it's just getting started :3
