Kate (infinitelynovel) I received an ARC of The Accident Season a few months before it was published, but never got around to picking it up. Well, I've got a reason to now! I'm so excited that it's our first BOTM. Based on what I've heard about the book, I'm expecting TAS to be creepy, gripping, and a bit atmospheric: perfect for this time of year. Roll on October! :)

R.A. I'm really excited! I've been seeing it on a bunch of lists of books that were going to be published this year. I've been wanting to read it for a while and it sounds really interesting. It also seems really appropriate for October.

Lara (writinglaraferrari) Ferrari | 28 comments I don't think I would have ever picked this book for myself but I'm so glad you did! I'm already gripped. This book is PERFECT for October - especially if you're reading it in the Northern hemisphere. It is so atmospheric; it perfectly captures that end of summer glow as it fades toward the murky uncertainty of Halloween. I'm in awe of the writing: the author is so good at painting characters and weaving plot in such a natural, unobtrusive way that I don't feel like I'm being lead at all. It's like... The story is just this moment unfolding on the pages. Does anyone else know what I mean?!
