Someone who understands.
See here's the thing. I NEVER HATE A BOOK. When I hate a book... that is pretty bad. I love these kinds of books, but the way it was written was horrid. If I hate a book... that is a really bad book XD

In Son the story is told from a different perspective, from the birth mother who had Gabe. It is really interesting and i really liked the book. It is a slow moving book, but is you push through 30-40 pages in the middle it gets really good.

You are my new favorite person right now. Hello, fellow member of the fandom!

I agree.

Hmmm

I'm still giving book 2 (Gathering blue) a try.

And his father shoved a needle through a child's head!!!
WHAT THE HECK IS..."
i like it, its like a whole new world, thats what i like about books. they can put the setting anywhere they want!

That is a very good point.

I'm just curious, wasn't the purpose of the protagonist running away with Gabe to prevent him from surely being killed. The other purpose was to break the barrier, as shown in the book and movie. Was that for them to escape their deaths? I believe the purpose of this "escape" was simply to protect Gabe.
