Adding a "currently reading" shelf to Goodreads?

Does anyone know how to "shelf" books as I begin to read them? There is supposed to be a shelf called "currently reading" but I don't know how to add books?

PS As soon as I went back to the main page, a topic appeared on the side of the page asking if I wanted to add a "currently reading" book???? Is this the only way one can add a book?

You can do it that way and you can also do it by earching for a book and, when you find the one you're looking for, it should have a green bar either below it or to the side of it saying Want to Read, Read,or something like that. Beside those words there should be a little icon with book spines on it? And if you click on that, a list drops down with a few options, one of them being currently reading. If you click currently reading it will automatically add it to the shelf and display it on the main page. This way you can also add books to your "read" shelf, if you want.
