I went massively wrong

Hi there, Sorry about this but I have just made a massive error. I was trying to add one of my stories to my author profile and have ended up making four versions by mistake.

I was trying to put my story Dressed to Deceive into my author profile for Nicholas Tingley but mistyped and made it go to a new author 'Nick R B Tingley' (twice). I have now put the book in my own author profile (twice by mistake again) but I have left a bit of mess behind me. Can someone please remove the two versions of the story from the Nick R B Tingley author (and delete that profile) and the incomplete version from the Nicholas Tingley profile please.

Incidentally, would I be able to change my profile so that it reads Nick R B Tingley instead of Nicholas Tingley? I tried doing it manually but the changes never seem to go through. Any advice?

The Nick R B Tingley profile is now empty, but it may take a while to be removed by the cleanup script.

GR policy is to have initials followed by a full stop, so the correct profile would be Nick R.B. Tingley

You could try and correct your claimed profile to that. It may not work because the system probably thinks the profiles with and without dots are too similar. If it doesn't work, both profiles will have to be merged by staff.

I see it worked, but please remove the space between R. and B. so it reads Nick R.B. Tingley, thanks :)

BTW, I forgot to ask: is your book published under that name, or under Nicholas Tingley? I don't see a title or author name on the cover(?) image.

Yup, got it, thanks. Yes, it is published under Nick R.B. Tingley. This image is just a placeholder for the moment. The actual cover image is being edited to include author name and title at the moment.

Thanks. I put in a librarian note that it's just a placeholder, since it is notoriously difficult to have a cover image replaced on GR if it is not clear that it's not the correct image.
