So, I finished the book and I'm having a bit of difficulty remembering which parts of the book were between these pages, but I do know this was where it really picked up for me! Before this part I wasn't really sure how I liked the book. But Khalid really grew on me! I liked the relationship he had with Shahrzad (they're addoraabbllleee omggg!!) and I really liked seeing Tariq and Shahrzad interact (I think that was this section??). I wanted to see how Shahrzad's friends/family would react seeing how she loved Khalid, so I was happy! Tariq is quite annoying though.

So this is the week of the revelations... right? I found myself more and more intrigued in this pages, and when the big revelation came I was outraged.
How dared he curse him like that? It was just plain sick and horrible.
This is the moment in the book that decided for me how much of a good book it really was. It's the point where it went from "good book" to "favorite book".

and also...the dagger that her father has is the one with which the other man cursed Khalid? Because I think it is...
As for Yasmine, I really want her character to be more introduced as well
Yasmine was such a great character. And the party was an interesting scene. Shazi's jealousy, Khalid being all "you handle this babe, let me hold your flower" and being all proud of her. And Radhim, I agree with you guys. It's possessive af, why can't he listen to her? Ugh.
I hadn't realize the dagger could be the other guys, but I it is it just confirms how bad of an idea this dark magic is.
The carpet was such a connection to the original tale.

Also...the whole dagger thing reminds me REALLY much of Once Upon A Time and...you know, the whole Dark One thing.
But yes, I think it's the same dagger
And as for Tariq, I really think that what he plots is terrible...like, a war against the Caliph..?really?

Well,Tariq acted this way because he still loved Shahrzad but let's be honest, he IS posessive and also, if he truly loved her, he would ASK her if she wants to be with him, he wouldn't do what he did in the end

This books did the exact same for me! It's a favorite now and I totally need the next one like asap. The author writes beautifully and does an amazing job of weaving these stories together. I couldn't put it down at one point.

I kinda forget what happened between these parts but I saw a comment about not liking Tariq so I'm gonna assume. I do NOT like Tariq I think he's too obsessive and not actually considerate of Sharhzard just the idea that she should be his as if he's entitled to her and it makes me angry cause i totally want her to be with Khalid forever and ever

I am so happy I am not the only one that didn't like her first lover! I was like, "please no no no. please just go back. no no, please please!" and then Yasmine! oh lord. I thought if her as (if you watched Korra..) the Asami..where they are enimies in a way and then they will band together and become close friends to help save the kingdom. I hope that happened to be honest

Yeah I have watched Korra and TOTALLY understand...Well, I really hope that Yasmine will try and save the kingdom along with Shahrzad but of course IF Tariq leaves her...anyways, we're gonna discuss more about the ending and stuff in the last discussion that I think is on Sunday
@Mary Good!! I have so much to say and so many theories!! I cried when this book ended! So I'm emotional attached!
OKAY SO UUM I don't like Tariq like no pls go away Khalid and Shazi for life and so like /(if you haven't finished the book don't read on:)THAT ENDING. TEH TEARS. But like, can someone explain the last chapter? I didn't really understand and I'm confused D:
