Leith | 2 comments Yeah this could describe a few books but here are a few more details I remember:
There is an evil god named Torrack or Torrag or something similar sounding.

In the first book the child is cared for initially by the head cook of the farm he lives on.

The is an orb of magical origin and it's called the eye of torrack (or whatever is name actually was).

The wizard was a champion of a dead god and his name and the gods were very similar (his daughters name was too i think).

in the later books i believe the child was developing magical abilities.

I think in the last book of the series i read they took a ship into a city surrounded by jungle and swamps, the people who live there worship snakes and the high priestess or queen tries to manipulate the boy to join her and the evil god with some kind of mind control.

Honestly I know I haven't given you guys much to go on but I never finished the series and I read the first few books so long ago. Any help finding this series again would be greatly appreciated as I would like to read it from the beginning again.
