Merging author profiles

only staff can merge the GR author profiles

but i edited the book and moved it over

a clean up script will delete the empty profile, sometime

I changed my books authors' box to Thomas E Montgomery.
(Notice no period after "E") which I prefer. It how ever created a new profile. I have tried to change my current profile to the same name but it says I must have Librarian access to accomplish this.
What can I do to fix this?

#4: I have moved the books back to your profile.

Goodreads house style is to use a period after initials and, when an author has multiple initials, to use periods without spaces:

Michael Butterworth apparently writes under the pseudonym Carola Salisbury and Carola Salisbury (real name Michael Butterworth).

We do not merge pseudonyms with the other author name(s), but I did edit and put in a link to the other profile.
