Stephanie Walker | 17 comments OK, so it took me a while to start my corner. And the truth is I didn't read much in January and February and I have some catching up to do to accomplish my goal of 50 books this year. So far I've read 6.
Here I will post a short review of the books I've read and the challenges I decided to take on this year.

Stephanie Walker | 17 comments My first yearly challenge was the Randomizer one because my To Read list is pretty extense and I always end up reading something that's not on it. So my 12 (1 per month)randomizer books for this year are:
1. The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan
2. The Tiger's Wife by Téa Obreht
3. Snow White Sorrow (The Grimm Diaries, #1) by Cameron Jace
4. A Really Short History of Nearly Everything (Young Adult) by Bill Bryson
5. Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda
6. The House of Impossible Loves by Cristina López Barrio
7. The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris by Jenny Colgan
8. East by Edith Pattou
9. The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1) by Terry Pratchett
10. A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
11. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon
12. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

Stephanie Walker | 17 comments Another challenge I'm trying this year is the Dewey Challenge. I am finding it quite hard to find books that I want to read in each category so I've stretched it a bit since I still want to read stuff I actually like. So here's my list and I will post any updates about the books I end up reading.
000-099 Computer Ready Player one
100-199 Philosophy Steppenwolf
200-299 Religion A history of God
300-399 Sociology ThePower of Myth
400-499 German
500-599 Sciences The Selfish Gene
600-699 Steel, Guns, Germs?
700-799 Arts Concerning the Spiritual in Art
800-899 Literature
900-999 History Princesses behaving badly

Stephanie Walker | 17 comments For some reason I am way behind on this year's challenge. 18 books behind according to Goodreads. At the beginning of the year I chose the challenges I wanted to complete and chose books that fit into each category.Since I wanted to read 50 books, I figured I should be reading 4 books per month. That way I chose 4 challenges that I could do everey month. These are: the monthly group read for this group, the Monopoly challenge, Listopia challenge, Randomizer, String Theory, and Dewey Challenge. On the next posts I1l share which books I chose for each challenge and which ones I have actually read, maybe I'll add a short review.
